Proves that BGT is a bit of a fix

Frank from The Zimmers just said on Daybreak, when asked who decided that they should audition(despite them already having an album released previously),"Well,we were invited on..,as far as I'm aware."..

Even more scripted was the judges reaction to them the fake shock look on their faces was not even subtle.

Cummon guys.

The show is there to entertain us. Its nothing more than that.

There were people who had never seen them before and they certainly amused me.

Chill pills all round.

These lot were bloody crap! As usual, Britain's Got Talent shows just how unfair it is by rejecting people that had equally the same 'talent' as these OAPs. Just because they were a group of aawww...pensioners. It seems all the judges are manipulated/told what to do on that show.

Yep, got to agree, or Simon would have buzzed them quite quickly!

Having said that, it's just an entertainment show and I had to laugh, although I don't know what they could do next time to entertain me!

I was actually expecting him to. I then came to realise that Cowell (and the others) would put them through to the next round. Utterly laughable and pathetic!

And me, but before Cowell could get away with all this manipulation bull s**t now us the viewers are wise to his ways hence the Voice being more populari did see this act and thought two things1, the judges knew what there were going to do and 2, what a load of crap i must be missing something it isnt even funny(and yes i do have a sence of humour before anyone ask's but this no sorry not at all hilarious i could not understand the audiance reaction at all)

I do kinda wish the auditions were a bit more honest..these people arent plucked from nowhere
But sadly it is the same with every show..I guess The Voice is slightly different as many that go on it are semi-pro etc and they don't hide it as much
Susan Boyle would have pre-auditioned many times and I can't believe the judges were not told to ham it up with shocked faces before..although I guess its possible they genuinly had no idea

I thought it must be the same group that did My Generation.

You have to look at it with a lot more realism. We are talking about the broadcast of a prime time Saturday evening entertainment show where ratings are hugely important because advertising revenue is even more important. Thats how everyone makes their money. Do you honestly think the producers sit back every year and say to themselves............gosh.... I hope some interesting people show up in the queue this year. As if !!!!!!!!

With the exception of a few dire plebs thrown in for car crash telly, the vast majority of the acts for shows like BGT, X-factor and even The Voice are sourced months in advanced, and given their "casting" in the overall process. When you think about it.........what other possible way could they do it...........if it is to be a successful top rated entertainment show.

Can you imagine what the audition process would consist of if they did leave it totally to chance and see who showed up in the queue !!!!

The likes of Susan Boyle in particular did not just happen to show up with her sandwiches and sad story of never being kissed. Scripted to death for maximum effect and it worked. Fair play to them.

I remember seeing them on The Paul O'Grady Show a few times, and I think they were on an episode of TV Burp too. Total set-up.

Why do people care about stuff like this? All shows of this nature invite people to audition - even the godly The Voice does it!

It's not the being invited bit it's pretending they are unknown to the judges bit.

Exactly! I recall reading a few years ago, the organiser of the Festival 4 Stars talent competition saying that BGT producers had been asking for contact details of some of their contestants. No names were mentioned but Faryl Smith and George Sampson both took part in Festival 4 Stars. It's a deception of a sort. BGT slipped up with the Zimmers because they are quite well known by the public and certainly just about everyone in show business would know who they are.

The pretending people are unknown to the judges bit is just bullsh*t imo, of course they know them from performing schools or something. Sadly this makes the average viewer/novice think they have less/no chance of doing something like people who appear on the show, but Cowell wants to make us think the exact opposite and plays us for idiots

I wouldn't mind if one of the judges said, 'I've seen you before. You were quite good. Let's see what you can do today!'. But they only say it if some one's auditioning again on the same show. I don't think it would stop newcomers auditioning. I don't think the prevalence of semi-pro/pro singers on the Voice will stop others auditioning

The Voice Openly admits on the show, they've invited people on. BGT doesn't do that, and never have to my knowledge..

It has been known for some time that acts are invited to attend auditions. Think it is the same on X Factor too. Some are spotted by talent scouts and others via youtube etc

Yes, we 'in the know' know that but as neither X Factor or BGT has ever actually admitted it on the show, how many of the actual viewers know? It is underhandedness imo.
