I have my duvet, a comfy chair, a really big mug of tea, and a crapload of Chryed fic.

I have found my happy place.

Not the sex one. The other one.

Really? I think you need to re-assess your fic reading habits. I've heard there's genre called 'smut'.

Sex don't cure my hangovers. Doubt smut would.

Sides I'm in a fluffy mood.

Oh, hangover-cure fic?

I didn't know it had been invented yet, but if it has I'm sure it would be a Chryedian responsible.

Yeah. Of course it would have to be read in a controlled environment, and I'm not giving up hangover tea, so someone else will have to get hammered and live with the morning after.

It's such a hardship.

Am re-watching the Tafia mendhi stuff-been a while.

The dancing is criiiinge but great and I love how gooey Chryed look at each other when they walk in the room. And how magnificent they look. I hope if we ever get this wedding they can work out some way of having a mendhi element. Make poor Marc dance for a 3rd time! But this time let Johnny dance for real too. And of course a proer slow dance at the wedding reception too. I know this would have some turning over/off, but I say Chryed dancing FTW!

I've always loved the Torchwood scene of Captain Jack dancing with his namesake. They way they hold each other its clear that this is two MEN dancing with each other, not a male-female taking roles sort of dancing. I remember Jon saying he didn't want to be slow dancing to Chris DeBurgh at their wedding and I can see it could be a bit cheesy, but maybe Chryed could slip out the back and dance under the stars when no one's watching.

It would be interesting trying to work a Mehndi element into it. I'd personally find it a lot more interesting if Christian decided that if Syed wants to do that, that's great but he's not going to get hugely involved with it, and they both do their own thing pre-wedding.

The entire things going to be a giant culture mash with compromise everywhere, I couldn't see Christian being too happy with a more traditional muslim wedding (which is unlikely anyway) and can't see Syed being happy with a wedding that's devoid of his own culture.

And dancing yes. Cheesy or no. And I want to see a conga.

The macarena will suffice though.

A close friend had a really, really stunning inter-faith wedding recently.

A conga is a must. Bollywood style.

Evening I woke up after 12, checked my phone, then fell asleep again and, er, here I am

Congrats on new part and Towers on OP : )

I had a rather ace dream, Chryed related but as usual for me, no actual Chryed. What it was was me waking up on a Monday morning to the news that the Chryed wedding had attracted 16 million viewers, highest soap rating for aaaaages. There was a bbc statement saying EE were pleasantly surprised. They knew 'Chryed' (they put in the quotation marks) had a vocal and enthusiastic fan base (totes meaning us) but didn't realise they were so very popular (durr) and were very proud of how the week long (squeee) set of episodes had got great critical acclaim as well as being very popular and well received.

It was literally perfect. I wish it was real.”

Argh that sounds like an amazing dream *sighs*

Nearly midday is early for me so don't worry
Another great dream...I want a Chryed related dream
Thank you for the stats earlier!

I don't think I've heard this....is there a link or was it something I had to tune in for and consequently missed it?

All the inter-faith weddings I've been to have had an element of cluster****. Nice, but a bit disjointed. Best one had a little bit of religion in the actual ceremony, delayed the reception a few hours, did the religion bits with family and family friends and opened it to other interested parties (No one extra attended, we all went to the pub). I think it was a Muslim bride, Jewish groom.

How would someone do a Bollywood style conga?

I'm sure it was in 2010 sometime. Think it was around the time Tilly was on This Morning taking JP for a walk in the Lakes and she was up for/won the Dogs Trust Celebrity Canine Award. I'm sure someone has it somewhere.

Not sure. I keep thinking of conga-style scene in Bend it Like Beckham, but obviously we would need to leave the important details in the trusty hands of Eastenders. What could possibly go wrong?

I don't somehow think the BBC will be brave enough to put Muslim elements into the CP ceremony, might be a bit too contentious. I'd love subtle features though, like Syed and co. (if they turn up!) in traditional dress and a bright colour scheme.

Everything. We could do Wedding Bingo. Make up our own plans for the wedding and lead up, publish them. One point for everything someone gets right. If they leave before the wedding, everyone wins.

Some parts of the wedding, like a blessing, can be done by religious family members. So it doesn't have to be in the wedding itself, it could be implied in speeches afterwards. But as much as it would be super-sweet, it would also be super-unlikely for Masood or Zainab to bless the union.

hey guys

did all the chryedians who met up at the weekend have a good time? i hope so, i was thinking of you all!

OT, but i went to see titanic on saturday, and was doing SO well not crying, until my friend went to me ''imagine if that was christian and syed'', and i thought about it...filled up..and burst into tears

seriously though, it is THE saddest film ever even worse when your friend tortures you at the thought of christian and syed being in the situation!! /proudly emotional chryedian

hope we're all well xx

Yep, i can't exactly see Masood or Zainab being on board. There's always Tamwar though, he's always been pretty reliable in the supportive family member role and i can imagine him to give a good speech.

Hi CAML I've only watched Titanic a few times but I've welled up every time. It's the old couple on the bed that gets me every time I'm gonna be a wreck when I see it tomorrow!

I love all the people clustered round him. Even on a day off walking the dog he has so much charisma. Jon's a lucky guy!

Just going to say, they put the old couple in the bed in one of the trailers. If the lady and her kids on the bed had been in it as well, I'd have bawled.

A little bit later in the film, the part where Jack dies. I laugh. It balances out.

Haha, I know! If I lived near that park I'd be there all the time

I saw that...I inwardly whimper every time I see it. Shit, the one with the mum and the kids is terribly sad too.

Yeah, that doesn't affect me as much. "Never let go." "I won't let go Jack!" *lets go*
I know they aren't being literal but I still LOL.
