Better than Eastenders IMHO. Don't get me wrong, the Heather murder fallout hasn't been too bad, but they could do with breaking it up a bit. We're now on week 3, is it? Of solid Ben/Phil/Shirley with the odd bit of Billy, Derek, Alfie.

I miss Pat and Peggie and Zainab and Ronnie and Janine and Afia and Mo and Stacey and proper Jean scenes and Heather-Shirley (pre-Andrew) and Chryed.

Hello all

Feels like ages since I've been on here, just been extremely busy, my visits on here will lessen until after exams. Even given EastEnders a break but by the time Chryed are back on screen I'll probably be done

Hope you've all been well ... got a lot of catching up to do and a lot of fics to read

Congrats on the OP Towers

Don't worry, my family do it to our dog too! My mum's the worst, but then he is her guide dog so all's forgiven!
My dog knows when I'm talking to him even when he's the other side of the room because of the tone of voice I use I don't even realise I'm doing it! He never understands quite what I'm saying but he listens anyway

I do too, but to me some of the stuff we've had lately seems really male-character-heavy. I want female characters to do more than sit in someone's living room with glasses of wine talking about who they fancy. Is this a hard-hitting soap or a sleepover?

/sorry. Rant.

Evening all lovely people keeping Chryedville alive
Hope everyone have had a wonderful Easter and that those meeting up in London had a fab, fab time!

Congrats on new part and on OP towers!
And congrats Gabriel Dreams on 1000 posts! Here's to many more!
Thanks for posting what little info-snippets we have had and for vids, pics, gifs.

Oh, and re. Titanic, the older couple on the bed and the mother with her children gets to me as well. I "always" (have watched it in full about three or maybe four times) feel totally emotionally drained afterwards... Now if it's on TV I usually stop watching after the party in the third class... / Am a wimp...

Anyway, here's to hoping for a mention in spoilers tonight and possibly some kind of news this week... /"Ridiculously optimistic and deluded" is actually my new middle name (it used to be Helena... )

ETA: I see talk of fic... Me likey. *looks at CAML * (Hiya dear, btw)
(Yes, Zoetje (Hellllllloooooooooooooo darling twin), I'm looking a little bit at you to... but... Yes, I've seen it!)

well, i do try and scream at him to find something else but he just can't hear me :sleep:

i always find it unbelievable how ironic it was that the ship was called 'the unsinkable ship' and it ended up sinking

jack and rose's story is the saddest though..even though that bit isn't true, it's still the saddest bit
I know...the iceberg ripped through all of the little room things at the bottom of the ship which they had to prevent it sinking; really unfortunate. And the fact they didn't have binoculars to see the iceberg until it was too late, or enough lifeboats.
But as they say in Belfast, she was fine when she left us :sleep::sleep:

Evening

Urgh been revising all day

Thanks for all the Tilly/Johnny videos, adorable

And as for Titanic: It does make me sob, but there are certain bits I find slightly funny like the way there is clearly room for two of them on the wood and how she says 'Ill never let you go' and then...he goes

And I'm catching up on the Voice, please tell me I'm not the only one in love with Danny? Ahhhh I love him

I was asleep by that part
My sister managed to convince my brother-in-law to go to the cinema with her... he hates the cinema... So they went to see Titanic.
He said "Well, 30 minutes in and the ship starts sinking, and I'm thinking...oh, this is good... it won't last too long... But then it spent the next 2 and a half hours sinking...! Two and a half hours!!!!"
He fell asleep too.
And when they got out of the cinema, they couldn't find a place that was open to go have something to eat, while they hadn't had anything to eat since lunch time.
Needless to say, my sister will never get her husband in a cinema again

I have never cried at Titanic. I cry like a baby every time I watch the last Lord of the Rings film but Titanic does not make me emotional in the slightest

Clarkieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

And re. Titanic, we've finally found something in which we differ.... Or maybe not.... I'm just the bigger wimp

ETA : have just seen your ETA.

Hiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa deeeeaaaaaaaarrrrrr!

I know I do

And I think we differ very little... cos that was actually basically my first thought hearing about it: why would people want to watch a film about Titanic? /Twins indeed.
It used to freak me out a little, the twin thing. Now it would probs freak me out more if we didn't have it

I can remember the ship hitting the iceberg so I think I fell asleep shortly after that because I can't remember the rest of the film. I watched Jack dying later and found it hilarious.

Hiya x

Everything's fine, just getting busy trying to work on my dissertation. Between that and work, it doesn't leave a lot of time for anything else

Hello everyone who's arrived

ikr!?
BIB - HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
I'm reading the whole thing on Wikipedia now. My fascination with it is all coming back

Just remembered another sad part in the movie - when the Captain locks himself in the room with the steering wheel and the water crashes in on him.

I usually cry at anything even slightly sad, like at the moment I'm reading the tearjerkers page on TV tropes and I'm welling up just thinking about the last episode of season 5 of Supernatural but Titanic just bored me.

you have got to be kidding me?
Nope. I slept for well over an hour of that film and I don't think I missed anything important
