Top 40 best-selling albums of all time in the UK.
Just about to start on Radio 2 with Tony Blackburn. 4-7PM. Should be a good listen. Fully up to date OCC chart which I'll post later and then we can discuss it.

Looks like we'll get the biggest single from each album. Would have prepared that they played lesser known tracks but hey ho, never mind.

Are these albums from any artist or just British artists?

Quite a few albums so far are fairly recent. I wonder whether this will continue. We shall know soon enough!

Little-Monster - If the List were confined only to British Acts
then it would not be the UK's Best Selling Albums. It would be only the British Albums that sold the most. It would not show which Albums had sold the most in Britain. It would be full of misleading information - because many International Acts would have outsold many of the Albums in it. And would Fleetwood Mac be in a British List? 2 of them were from the USA. Freddie Mercury was from Zanzibar - an Island off the coast of East Africa. Would The Police be in? 1 of them was an American. And so on..... |

I think Greatest Hits should have a separate chart - it's less of an acheivement in my eyes to sell bucketloads of singles than a studio album

Out of that list of albums I only own ABBA Gold, Spice and The Fame. My mum and dad have a copy of Queen's first Greatest Hits album.

I would love to a British acts only list
Too many of that list is dominated by international acts. 1-10.... 7 of the top 10 are British acts. 11-20...7 of the next 10 are British acts 21-30...6 of the next 10 are British acts 31-40...6 of the next 10 are British acts So 26 out of 40 are British.... thats pretty dominant. Many other major British acts dont even feature... Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, or Elton John.. three of the biggest selling artists on the planet. |

English lead singer, and the Scott brother born in Scotland. |
