What have I missed?

A decent first half display from us. Rambo is having a bit of a nightmare, he's good at intercepting and pressing but his first touch and crosses are still a bit dodgy. Torres is looking better and scored a good goal from a set piece. He could have nicked a second goal if he shot earlier instead of cutting inside. Hazard has been class throughout the game. Bit gutted that we couldn't defend our lead into half-time but Gervinho scored a great goal.

Surprised Arsenal have left Walnut on the bench - he always does well against us.

That Arsenal goal is a terrible one to concede.

I thought tactically it was almost perfect, then just one lapse in concentration and it was all level.
Ashley Cole having a great game, and Oscar is getting through a lot of work. Never a penalty for Torres, ref seems to be having a decent game..so far. Still not happy with Mikel, as I'm writing he just seems to be wandering around aimlessly and not picking anyone up.
But we've scored..yippee ! Back to the game....

Brilliant result for us, i feel we really needed that win, sends a signal out that we are serious title contenders.

Great result. Half the time Arsenal were dangerous it was down to us giving the ball away. Over playing a wee bit but good to see things developing.

Good win, well deserved.
We weren't spectacular, but we played a clever game. We snuffed out the creative threats of Cazorla and Arteta, Diaby had to go off early which helped.
I thought Oscar and Ramires did really well, Mikel (despite my earlier comment) improved as the game went on. Couple of great saves from Petr Cech. Torres led the line well, he's never going to be the threat he used to be, we've just got to live with that. But linking up with Hazard, Mata etc. it's an attacking force to be reckoned with.
Arsenal were poor, but we made them look poor. What's that ..16 points out of a possible18 ?
I feel much more confident.

With the (somewhat ridiculous) 'paper talk of Ronaldo being unhappy and wanting to return to the prem, would you have him at the bridge?

Of course we would mostly say yes, but would he fit in the team, or should we spend the £90 million and £15 million a year wages elsewhere?

No team would turn down Ronaldo. Unfortunately, if the rumours are true about his wage demands then he is likely to vanish in the next couple of years.


Next game, away at FC....Denmark, then home to Norwich. Not that I'm being greedy, but a couple of easy victories would be nice. Need to make up for the Juve game.
