According to numerous rumours, we are already negotiating for Falcao. We could add Fellaini and still have have change out of that figure..it would cost about the same in wages as well.
Ronaldo is a great player, but I think it would lead to problems.

Falcao and Fellaini are the two players that chelsea need and were at the top of my summer wish list

Fantastic result on Saturday. Lovely goal by Nando and a lot more clever play taking place on the pitch.

Just want to congratulate the away support...it's all I could hear....the predictable booing for Ash and JT didn't get to them at all...and never will...and it eventually got more and more quiet and we sung our hearts out.

Must win tonight, IMO. Will be a tricky game as they will be well up for it. European Champions in their own stadium, probably the biggest game for them this year. Team looks pretty strong though so i think we should still win easily enough. ill go for 3-1.

Cech
Ivanovic Luiz Cahill Cole
Ramires Lampard
Moses Oscar Mata
Torres.

Turnbull Terry Azpilicueta Bertrand Mikel Romeu Hazard

Should win. Comfortable enough for Torres to get a rest with any luck.

would have liked to see Azpilicueta and Marin start

Was Marin on the bench at the weekend? I hope we're just introducing him slow and that he's not picked up another injury.

I think it's still a little bit too early for Marin to be starting. But I would have liked to have seen Azpi start as well. I hope Robbie isn't just going to use him in cup games.

Not going too well so far.

On the plus side I now know how to say the other teams name.

OK, that's better

It is an odd and slow game, for an European match. The atmosphere is lacking in the stadium which doesnt help.

Nice work from Oscar there - Torres should have done better....

Time for Falcao in January?

Dunno. Need a striker, but not sure I'd go for another expensive megastar. Especially not in January.

I'd still prioritise a midfielder. Fellaini's a more likely move.

We seem to be playing with a bit more urgency now, in the first half we appeared to be half asleep.
In fairness, they played some good football..surprised me anyway.
I'm disappointed not to see Marin, I would have thought a game like this would have been an ideal introduction. I have a little bet on 3-0, still looking good.

Yeah they have surprised me too, some decent football by them but lack cutting edge. Their 5 man midfield is doing well against our 2man as well. Still think we should win this. We havent looked great but seem to be doing the job at the moment. Team look like they are cruising and not too bothered about the scoreline. I would like to see Romeu come on for Mata or Oscar and switch to a 433. Hazard for Moses would be good too.

Their CB who has a head injury, Okore, looks pretty damn good. We should seriously think about scouting him and signing him up, based on tonights performance alone. Could be a great player in the future.

Surprised we're playing like this considering the 2 dropped points against Juve. We can't afford not to win tonight.

I say as Mata goes on a run across our own area

lucky not to be level there. just far too slapdash tonight in a game we cannot really afford to lose
