On 55 minutes 2:1 down we didnt look like coming back any time soon - it looked like it could be a hiding.

This is a fantastic 3 points for us.

What a great game, 2 rivals playing end to end stuff. this is why the prem is light years ahead of watching internationals.

Great win and some lovely football.
One thing they need to cut out is giving away cheap free kicks buy hey, worry about that another day.

Yes, agree 100%. You have to give Spurs their due, they contributed to a great match.

What did Mata say ?.Fernando got the fourth. Sturridge will be chuffed.

What ! Hoddle says it was the best he's ever seen Mikel play ?
Oh well, who am I to argue with the great man.

Yeah Cahill was solid today, helped cover Bane a couple of times.

I see what you did there

I thought it was quite a nice touch that AVB came out and shook hands with all the Chelsea players and staff.

Fab derby to watch; 3 point lane returns!

I missed the entire game

Great result though

A win over our local rivals, who have saved us £10m in wages on AVB, is a great start to the weekend.

We actually played quite well - replace Torres (who had a mediocre game) with Falcao and we may well develop the best front 4 in the game today. Without Terry and Lampard starting, we could be looking at the future of Chelsea.

This game also reminded me of just how important cole is to us. Give him a 2 year contract, whatever he wants.

Mikel and Ramires looked good in the first half, but fell asleep and were all over the place in the second. A midfield general is still needed.

Brilliant result and performance! And considering our last prem win there was 2005 way way overdue!

What a great London derby!

What a fantastic first half we had but their first goal just into the second half, completely changed the game. But the character and heart shown never ceases to amaze me, it amazed me during the CL campaign and now, with the 'other stuff' going on at the moment, we just always pull together, I really love that.

And Mata.....what a guy he is, just sublime.

Can enjoy the rest of the weekend now!

Psst..don't tell anyone, but I don't mind Strictly either. Maybe the lovely Ola has something to do with it.
I'm not going to the pub yet, forgot that Frankel was running his last race today..14 straight if he wins again.

Very nice, I got a Chelsea calendar..again. Much appreciated of course, but not quite the same.

Frankel won again, now he's off to stud. Not a bad life really, perhaps we should do the same with footballers ? They like putting it about, so clubs could charge stud fees.

In the process of acquiring todays game. Almost wish I didn't know the score before watching....but then I'd get angry when we go 2-1 down, so probably better that I do

Shame West Brom couldn't hold on today, but City are still proving to be (an) easily rattled (group of individuals). United looking weak at the back as well, so many reasons to be positive, despite their results.

Strange how we all see football. Reading the Spurs thread some seem to make out we were fortunate.
What game were they watching?
Chelsea controlled most the game bar a 10 min spell.
Oh we'll

apparently a quote from Falcao:

"The quality of the (Premier) league is not in doubt - there is so much talk of Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the champions of Europe are in England."

Our win in the champions league has already landed us Hazard, will it do the same for Falcao?

It really has made such a difference.

I watched MOTD last night and felt for Lukaku; unlucky not to have scored at least one goal - especially that bicycle kick! Also, really starting to dislike Dzeko. Nothing against him personally, but just hate how he comes on as a sub and always scores...

When I saw Chelsea going 2-1 down I didn't even panic. I knew we could step up and thankfully we did! Contrast to last season, where if were losing we were pretty much f***ed.

I just love watching us play at the moment. Mata, Hazard and Oscar are jelling so well. I've heard some people dub them as Mazacar.

Also, loved how Mata snatched that ball off Walker for the 4th goal. Haha, that's what you get for messing with Juan.

I wanted to find a gif of where Mikel shrugged off those two Tottenham players. Managed to find a video instead:

Don't think Dzeko will be City much longer. Bet he regrets turning us down now
Lukaku was very unlucky with the overhead. He's looked good for them, but he's still not playing as much as we need him to be. January recall might be best.

That 15 minutes after the break would have had me worried if I'd be watching live, but its impressive how we managed to turn it back around without making any subs. As you said, in recent seasons that would have been game over. (all the more impressive when you consider we did it without our captain/vice captain on the pitch...?) Also good to see Sturridge come on and score.

Mata stealing the ball of Walker was great - served him right for blasting the ball at him earlier in the game He's really brilliant to watch when he's playing like this. I know it's selfish but I really hope he never gets recalled by Spain Belgium can drop Hazard as well, their manager doesn't appreciate him anyway.

if the worst hapens and Falcao joins city, i think we would be wise to take Dzeko off their hands.

I think he is a fantastic player, he always seems to score and cause havoc.

Walker had been all over Mata throughout the game, and the kicking the ball at him was a disgrace - at that point i knew he would live to regret it, you could see it all over Matas face.

I would like him to dedicate his match winning performance to Walker.
