Indeed, seems to be a lack of real stand out RB's at the moment, i would have gladly kept Bosingwa as backup to Ivan. But such is life. VDW would be a bad signing, IMO.

We always tend to get Liverpool/Man U at the end of the season.Was a shock last season really when the second Man U game was pretty early on! And Villa at xmas is a given
Latest rumours are we are in for Moses, i was mildly impressed with him last season for Wigan, but i cant see how he would get a regular game for us with Mata, Hazard, Torres, Sturridge, Marin up front. Perhaps he is seen as a cheaper alternative to Hulk, as the rumours for him is that we have cooled our interest after PSG have made a £43m bid.

lol, i would be livid if they did that, as much as i dislike Man Utd, their fans on this board contribute a lot to discussion and debate, usually in a good way, and therefore i would be sad to see them leave if they were all banned. One of the main reasons i use this board to talk about Sport is that most other forums are severely biased to one team, eg Shed end and Chelsea fc forums which i cant even be bothered looking at these days. Whereas this forum has a good selection of supporters and a lot less idiots (although there are a few).
Ukraine were unlucky i thought, England were uninspiring as usual but somehow got away with a win. Ukraine deserved the 1-1 draw atleast, as it was clearly over the line, makes you wonder what the point of the official behind the goal line is, if he cant even spot that. What else do they do? i thought the whole point of them was to confirm whether the ball crossed the line.

It is very friendly in here, we only have about half a dozen Chelsea fans in here. I do post on other football forums and a Chelsea one, but it's not bad on this footie forum.

Drogba confirms a move to Shenua Shanghai till 2014. I wish him all the best, i bet hes being paid a fortune. Linking up with Nico as well! Mostly glad he isnt staying in the premier league, dont think i could watch him playing for one of our close rivals!

He is your Schmeichael, (he won the CL with us in his final game as well), so I know what it is like to see a club legend depart, so good luck to him over there I say, as he will need it, as I think that I am right in saying it, that the team that he has joined, is not doing so well in their league.

On the 25th July, Man U are going to play against Shanghai Shenhua for the pre-season tour. Can't wait!

I can see why other teams would be glad to see him go, talk about unplayable when he was it his best.
I was impressed with Moutinho tonight, might be someone worth looking at this summer, instead of Modric. Still think a CM would be good for us, with Lampard getting older. Merieles was awful as well tonight, i hope he leaves and we replace him with someone decent. Or perhaps its time to give McEachran more game time? Thought Cech did well and couldnt do much for Ronaldo's goal.
Get rid of Merieles and Malouda, sign a CM and a RB and we would be set for next season and a strong title challenge, imo.

Really? I thought he had a pretty decent game (compared to his usual standard in a Chelsea shirt). He made 3-4 good crosses into the box and if it wasn't for the poor finishing of the final third from Portugal, they probably would have won 4-0 yesterday.
