Great instinctive finish.

I definitely want Ramires on the RW this season. He's much more effective there.

What a champ Bane is. Complaining that we should have took the final corner.

Piazon looked good, as did Marin, Hazard and Essien.

Next game is Wednesday/Thursday at 1:55am.

I wasn't at all jealous to see that you were going Saturday.

Nope. Not at all.

Torres is joining up with the squad today.

Hope we'll see something close to our first team playing in the remaining games. The poor defending isn't giving the forwards much of a chance to show what they can do.

Just amazing, I'm a Tom Hardy fan as well so it was a double whammy and Anne Hathaway is a very sexy Catwoman for all you guys out there.

I loved it, feel quite sad now the trilogy is over.

2nd half was much better, and PSG are a good team so all round lots of positives to take away. 1st half was pretty woeful though. KDB, Kakuta and Lukaku will all be sent on loan after that performance i reckon. Piazon did well playing as a striker, good finish too.

I liked the look of Marin and Hazard immensely, we finally have replacements for Robben and Joe Cole.

Great goal by Piazon. Agree with Butterflies that we should definitely keep him at the club rather than let him out on loan or something and let him have some opportunities in the first team.

As mentioned both Eden and Marin have looked great in Preseason. Going to be interesting with them and Mata in the team. Plenty of creativity there.

PSG have obviously got a lot of good players so a decent result.

Lukaku is apparently wanted by Fulham for a loan move. Would be really nice to see him get first team action at the Bridge but if not then a loan to another Premiership club is probably a good idea. Get him used to the league.

Overall another good performance in preseason.

Oscar looks to be pretty much confirmed as joining the club following the Olympics.

Does anyone hear actually have an informed opinion on Oscar?
I only ask, as I was wondering (no bias or anything), which player is the better one, the one that we have been linked with Lucas Moura, or Oscar for you guys?
As I know diddly squat about both really.

Different type of players, in my opinion. Everyone seems to be described under the blanket term "midfielder" these days, but in "old money" Moura looks more of a inside foward to me, while Oscar would have been a creative wing half.
Moura looks more dynamic, prepared to run at defenders. Oscar is more of a playmaker, who can also score goals.
Who is better ? I guess it depends on what you need. Ironically (given the talents we already possess) I think we could have done with Moura to give us more punch up front, whereas you guys are crying out for someone to spray the ball around in midfield.
But most of that is guesswork, I haven't seen enough of either of them to make an educated assessment.

I do thank you for replying to my question, many thank for that.
They will both certainly be interesting moves if they go through, and ones that although are with the future in mind, could prove very handy indeed I feel.

I've only seen some clips on Youtube and the defence looks very worrying!
Are they going to try and play a high line again? If they do then we can right off this season!

Always look on the positive side, don't you.

I agree, Moura looks more like a pacy winger who likes to cut inside, while Oscar is more like a playmarker in the centre of the park - a number 10. I think he can also play further back in a more traditional midfield role.

So i guess its just what you want out of them, both look like promising players and appear to be going for a lot of money.

I have no idea about Oscar, but if he can play deeper, we should look to make this his position. It's an area that needs strengthening, whereas ACM (or LW/RW) is not.

Chelsea Football Club has completed the signing of Thorgan Hazard from FC Lens.

At 19 years of age, Thorgan is two years younger than his brother Eden, who joined Chelsea from Lille this summer, but is of similar height and build and plays a similar range of attacking positions.

The club can also confirm deals have been completed for three young players to go on loan for the season - attacking midfielder/forward Ulises Davila to Spanish second division team Sabadell and striker Milan Lakovic and goalkeeper Matej Delac to Guimaraes in the Portuguese top flight.

He could be being bought as a long term replacement for Lampard, rather than say Modric. I think he is a similar type of player to Modric.

As mentioned, a highly rated young talent, and better than Eden(according to Eden).

Another good young player. Good signings this preseason.

Dont think he will be introduced to the first team anytime soon. It says he will be working with the U21 squad and they are seeking a loan move for him.

Yes, I think Oscar is an alternative to Modric. I'm not so sure about him replacing Lampard. Frank was never considered a playmaker, that's why we brought in players like Deco and Ballack.
The old idea used to be to have a combination of brain, brawn and stamina in midfield. To put it less crudely, playmakers, ball winners, and a box to box players. Things are more sophisticated these days, but I still think we are missing one or two players who can be a bit "tasty" in the tackle. The top teams in the world still have them, they just happen to be fine footballers as well these days.

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Oscar.

Oscar, full name Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior, who will be 21 in September, is a Brazilian international who played for two clubs in his homeland prior to his move. A 5ft 10in (1.79m) attacking midfielder who can play wide, he has a reputation for good pass-and-move football, protecting the ball and choosing the right moment to play passes.

Currently no mentions of him being loaned out
