Bon Jovi - I appreciate they are a talented band, but I hate their music. I find his lyrics totally cringeworthy. 'I never drew blood, but I drew first blood' oh please!

Not sure I Maroon Five qualify as 'iconic' but I just don't get them. Their image just doesn't fit their music. I believe they started as a punk band, but then went mainstream. They act as if they are some sort of hard rock band, but then they produce the most purile mainstream mediocre pop music I've heard in ages.

I don't like Fall Out Boy/My Chemical Romance I find them a bit whiny.
Also popular among some teens are 'crunkcore' bands like Brokencyde and Blood on The Dancefloor those two 'bands' are bloody atrocious.

No matter how many times I listen to them, no matter how much I want to like them, I just don't get Pearl Jam. I'm a huge fan of hard-rock and metal, but Pearl Jam have never risen above a 5/10 for me.

I really can't stand The Beatles. I just don't see what's so great about them. Their music sounds very plain and boring to me.

Lady Gaga too. I find most of her music very similar and un-interesting. Once you've heard three of her songs, you've heard them all.

Radiohead. The most depressing depressives ever!

Too many to choose from but I'll go with U2.

Oasis, it's baffling the love they inspire in this country, for everyone else they are just that band of the 90s.

I'm perfectly aware of how many records they've sold thanks all the same.
As for the bit in bold, thats your opinion which you're as welcome to as I am to mine.

I have never been able to get into Red Hot Chilli Peppers.... one or two hummable ones but mostly a bit tuneless to my ears.

I also don't get the Beastie Boys... I just assumed they were spoilt brats related to record company execs when they started and their shouty outputs hurt my ears. I sometimes wonder if they're "ironic" but I can't get past their awful din to assess that really.

Bring Me The Horizon without a shadow of a doubt! All the front-man can do is scream on top of a screechy backing-track, that's not talent in my eyes.

Even though BMTH aren't iconic in the slightest, I still had to mention how awful they are.

But then what are you comparing them to? What you like to listen to today, or in the context of the music when it was first released on the 1960s?

And the opinion of the public and the critics if the majority of polls and lists are anything to go by.

You have still yet to explain how 'pub rock chancers' could achieve what they have.

So sorry but I love The Beatles to death they have made my life so much better, so I cannot stand to see or hear anyone say anything bad about them. I just don't get why someone would NOT love them.

They seem to be popular in South America... it's just in the US they get a media bashing because of the antics in 95-97, it's much more corporate in the states. There's still a big fanbase out there though.

And Italy, Japan, Korea, Ireland, France, South America etc.

In fact pretty much everywhere apart from America due to the fact that they refused to play the game and be inoffensive corporate cock suckers like Coldplay and U2.

Certainly not on the scale of U2... they just don't get the media attention. Or at least, when they did... it's usually bad.

They still sold out Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden and the album Don't believe the truth still managed to get on the billboard after all those years... so I wouldn't cut out the US.
