Thanks for the clarification though Glenski. I think G4 will have to pull off something outstanding to not firmly put themselves in the novelty act bracket.”

Louis Walsh obviously believes they are a novelty act if this choice is correct.

Darius came - and left 'Popstars' performing the Britney Track in the second stages.... but hey - now look at him... he came third in Pop Idol One.... and his career ain't to bad now... so maybe some of that luck will rub off - for the G4 boys...

Cheers

....well, I`m firmly of the opinion this is a giant wind-up - not even Louis could dream up something even more ridiculous that last week`s song choice.......could he But if it`s true, they should walk out now, while they still have credibility

I am a big fan of G4...but I burst into laughter when I heard the choice...I can just imagine now, Jon in a blonde wig and a school girl outfit Oh the laughter But I hope thats a wind up

....it has to be a wind up.......surely they would refuse to sing such a c**p song

It just goes to show that having a classically trained voice is no sign at all of intelligence. There is no way on earth that G4 can come out of this without covering themselves with ridicule - even if they intend this to be a joke. What a bunch of twits.

Still, I'm pleased for my top three - Cassie, Rowetta and Tabby. Good luck to all of them! Addicted to Love, eh.... I have a feeling this week might be Tabby's chance to steal the limelight.

IMO G4's renditon of don't look back in anger was quite good, i thought the criticism they got was unfair, though i can't see how they would pull off the britnet spears number.

Britneys version wasn't that great either imo God I really hope this is a wind up :S

If G4 do it then it would be funny but suicidal.

Walsh - if you're listening, change the choice, please...

I think Louis needs to watch his back if this is true...he's going to be the top of every g4 fan's hitlist

I think G4 fans are being a bit over-indulgent if they cast all the blame on Louis Walsh. I can't believe the artists have no power of veto.

As I am echoing from other posts, G4 have made a grave mistake if this list is true, and thats exactly where they'll b going if this is true!

Yess! Lol, soz! :P

I think G4 should sing The Ace of Spades

People plus suggested gimmicks

Tabby - Addicted To Love Noooooo. I don't think this will work! Gimmick - Obviously, 'The Band' of scraped hair, trowled made up, sexy women playing air instruments.

Voices With Soul - Amazing Grace. Come on Louis! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Gimmick - I'm Scottish and I love the bagpipes, but they won't be welcome here

Cassie - Say A Little Prayer. Fab choice. She'll do well. Gimmick - Can't think of a gimmick unless Cassie pulls the Arch Bishop of Canterbury out from the audience (of COURSE he'll be watching the X Factor).

Roweta - Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Tsk. I would have preferred something a bit more adventurous and less safe for Ro. Gimmick - Minnie the dog will be the extra on stage with Louis and Kate as munchkins (well Kate is rather orange these days).

2 To Go - I've Had The Time Of My Life. Too obvious. Emma won't manage. Gimmick - Bruce Forsyth and his wife to be doing the flamenco in the background since Patrick Swaze won't be available.

Steve - Smile. Nooooooooooo. Not a NKC song . I love NKC and I don't think Steve (sorry Sals) will manage this too well. Gimmick - No props, just a piano, maybe?

G4 - Hit Me Baby One More Time. OMG. Maybe awful, may surprise us. I just CANNOT believe that the choice can be THAT bad, so I'm trying to believe that humans are the intelligent animals that we are supposed to be and that just maybe, this may be refreshing?
Gimmick - rubber dolls of Christina Aguilera and Justine Timberlake crying with jealousy in the audience.

PMSL!!!

ZipGypsy the gimmicks are brilliant!

What a wonderfully unbiased post, sometimes it's good to laugh at all of them.

I have just been reliably informed that G4 are not singing "Hit Me Baby One More Time" but "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" by Ian Dury and the Blockheads... an easy mistake to make. Some nice harmonies can be expected.

Hiya Zip. Too much gloom and doom, m'dear. Don't worry... I think Tabby will look a lot more confident and sexy surrounded by grown women, and Rowetta will find something special in her song, as she always does. The one I'm most anxious for is Cassie... it's a fantastic song, but her nerves got the better of her last week. Fingers crossed for a triumphant return to 'Alfie' form.

Oh...wasn't 'Alfie' just amazing? I keep playing that over and over on mp3. I wish Cassie would record the whole song. Fab! Fingers crossed for our Tabbs!

LOL. That makes a lot more sense! Excellent choice, actually. I don't see how they can go wrong with that one. I bet their fans will be pleased.

If her performance of "Without You" is an example of how she sings when nervous, I can't wait to hear her when she's confident! No reason to be anxious for her if this is the song - I have a feeling she is a soul singer at heart.
