Didnt she also say If You Don't Know Me By Now was made famous by Simply Red?
Errrrrrr, think it was already a bit of a classic before old ginger Mick crooned all over it.

The more I think about it the more I think G4 could do a great version of "Baby One More Time". I know it takes some imagination and it is a huge risk but I think if they pull it off they could have the competition in the bag.

I can see Steve doing "Smile" *the Nat King Cole song) well. I hope he does and sticks it to Sharon "What me? I was never obese!" Osbourne.

Do you have to be 30 to sing soul ?? (viz Joss Stone for example).”

I'm a great fan of the 'edgy, trendy' Alex Parks, and Cassie is one of my favourites in the X Factor. I agree with every word you say. Although I look forward to hearing Cassie sing a broader range of material, I think her three classic songs have differed sufficiently. She is definitely up to singing songs in this genre. I think her treatment of Alfie was flawless, and while her nerves got the better of her occasionally last week, she still gave a standout performance compared to most of her rivals.

Well Give It Up, one thing I can say for your musical judgement across competitions is that it's consistent.

I absolutely hate the song choices

All doubts that Darius would never live his Britney Spears performance down have been killed because G4 would be taking over once they sing that "song".
Definitely swap Cassie and Rowetta's songs choices. 2 to go should sing more upto date songs rather some complilation reject, I am sure there are good duets out there that can be modified to suit their vocal range.

Even if they "pull it off" as you put it, however well they sing it I can't see how they can be offering us anything more than a jokey interpretation of what is already a pretty uninspired schoolgirl-pop song. They have got into a "novelty act" rut with Louis, rather than choosing good songs, designed for male harmony groups, that fans of their style could enjoy.
