Winners Song

For the winners debut single what are the gonna do??

1 - Write a song and have both artists record it, but only the winner release it (ie - pop idol)

2 - Write 2 songs, one for each artist, and only let the winner release theirs (ie - PI2 second song (Michelle - Meaning of Love, Mark - Measure of a man))

3 - As most of the artists are also (said to be) talented song-writers, let them all write their debut single. (ie - Fame Academy)

Tell me what you think

They can't possibly have the same song planned for all the acts if they win. They only just about got away with it in Pop Idol I, and even then it was obviously aimed at Gareth. I did wonder what they would have done if Zoe Birkett had been in the top three, since Evergreen's words are clearly intended for a man singing to a woman. Did Darius's version ever hit the streets? I know Gareth's was used as a "B-side".

You can bet however that the videos they shoot will be identical to each other.

Option 3 above is a non-starter since there just isn't time.

They might yet go for Option 1 if they don't want to spend the cash. After all, that vote money only goes so far...

Actually, consider that fact they had the top two record the single for PI2, but the top three for PI1. There's a cutback right there!

All THREE finalists in Pop Idol 2 recorded "All This Time" and shot the Video...

Michelle McManus - Mark Rhodes - Sam Nixon (Both Mark and Sam were to perform Measure Of A Man as their B-Side)

Hiyas. well many songs can be sung by a group and then one person yer knows, Evergreen!!! was Westlifes song man, and then sung by Willy when he won, and GG would have sung it or Darius whose recording got BURNED at his request I is told wonder why as I likes Darius good dude he is.

So they can get a song that they can alls sing..... then dont cost too much less them G4 laddies win and then they may well have to thinks again, but with Britney song this week they aint gonna be there to worry about.

Tabs would be the big prob as he is NOT gonna stand no poopy poppy crappy song!!!!

Get some cool dude like Diane Warren to pen it, and then yer may have a killer song, but hey she dont come cheap and this is a cheap show.
