I only use sherry for cooking and a dash in a bloody mary. Not sure what no-no's I could mention. I bastardise a lot of dishes with my own twists. It could be called fusion I guess. |

I also like chilled red wine and drink any wine with any meal.
I think a main one for me is keeping things in the fridge that are not supposed to be kept in the fridge....potatoes for example. (they last longer though lol) My partner keeps chocolate in the fridge? I find that just..........wrong!

I sometimes deep fry oven chips!
![]() I use minute steak for my stews and casseroles, and trim all the fat off the sides and any veiny bits in the middle and give it to my dog! Every time I do it, I can hear my mother's voice in my head saying "What a waste of good meat!" but I hate stewing beef, it's too fatty! I add salt to my food every time I eat anything savoury! And I love ice in my brandy! |

Chilled red wine diluted with water.
Cold pasta covered in salad cream. Way too much pepper on everything. I'm also a sucker for a doner kebab! |

Sometimes there is nothing quite like a doner kebab!
Any wine anytime Mr Gooby and I have his brother living with us full time. Whenever he goes away for the weekend we treat ourselves to fillet steak, new potatoes, salad and peppercorn sauce - all from M&S. Our guilty secret! Bacon butty in the morning before a round of golf - kinda defeats the object of the exercise but delicious. Last edited by Gooby : 11-04-2012 at 12:52. Reason: only had 3 naughties |

It's nice to know some people have hidden vices (or maybe not so hidden).
I know (well I do) strive to follow certain ettiquette. But sometimes it's good just to do what makes you happy. Like fish finger butties with load of tomatoe sauce can at the right time beat posh nosh on a silver platter. |

Cold baked beans, yuck - I have to admit I do the same with tinned sweetcorn. I can literally eat a whole tin of the stuff if I am alone in the kitchen.

I remember a show where a guy used to eat cold beans out of the tin with salad cream mixed in.

Chips, cheese and garlic mayonaise. It was something I'd have when drunk but I tried it sober and it's still as good.

I cannot stand soft fried eggs, or the poached eggs concept. However, I am very partial to a soft boiled egg where the white has just turned. I add salt, stir the whole thing and drink it from the shell. Odd that there have been people around me not finding this acceptable.
2 Eggs in cold water, heat turned on and brought to boil, simmer, should take ten minutes and no more to achieve perfection. One piece of toast with marmalade eaten straight after, gives a wonderful complimentary taste. |

Try it with coke. It's a South American favourite.
It tastes like sangria. Nice! |
