It really is incredible the success these boys are having in the states. I hope it lasts just to shut all the detractors up

That's amazing. Neither are my cup of tea, but congratulations to them. That's some achievement

It's good but nothing that amazing. US Platinum is equivalent to UK silver to it's nothing ground break but good on them anyway.

..No it won't, sure they'll enjoy their 5 mins of fame now.

But you forget that theres a good 30-40 One Directions and Wanteds just out there ready to take their place in the never-ending chain of crap manufactured music.

Yep, not in any way a fan of either (I don't think I am in the demographic they covet necessarily, lol) but success is success and I'm certainly not going to be churlish about it (witnessed too many embarrassingly jealous posters in Adele threads to behave like that). Good on them, I say.

GYC will reach 2m soon I reckon as it's still lingering in the Top 10.

Well done to both 1D and The Wanted .. I wouldn't have believed 6 months ago these two groups would be having the success they are over in America.. GYC keeps selling and is obviously big on US radio and I think the radio there will pick up WMYB more and more as time goes on..

I hate One Direction with a vengeance. When they can harmonise as well as Clarke/Hicks/Nash, then I may reconsider.

But to achieve this, they must be doing something right, so respect is due.

That's amazing. If a year ago somebody suggested that One Direction and The Wanted could sell 1 million in the US, they would've been laughed out.

Good for them.

Amazing sales figures, the fact they aren't just flash results, like a week in the top end of the charts then a fast fall is incredible.
