iPod Touch Won't Back Up
I want to update my iPod Touch 4g to ios 5, but I'm afraid that if I do that, it will delete everything on my iPod, so I tried to back it up, but it took longer than 1 1/2 hours, and it hadn't moved at all, so I cancelled it. And then I synced it, I don't even know what that does to it, and then I tried to back it up again, and it gave me this message "iTunes could not back up the iPod because a session could not be started with the iPod". Does anyone know how to fix it? And, I was completely sure about this, but if I update it, will it delete everything? Googling it didn't help. And also, whenever I put my iPod into my laptop, it asked me if I wanted to put my photos on my laptop, but I said no most of time, but I said yes today and now it's deleted all of my photos off my iPod and put them onto my laptop, and it won't let me put them back onto my iPod.

At the risk of sounding like the IT crowd, have you switched it off and switched it back on again?
You need to fully power it off by pressing and holding the power button. Also make sure you're running the very newest version of iTunes. Once you've done both of those things, try connecting again. |
