Poll should be up soon.

The legendary Aaliyah Dana Haughton lived just 22 years in her life, but gave more than what many others give in a full life. She packaged three albums, two movies and a thriving fanbase. As one fan had said, she had went from Star Search, to a star on Earth, to star in heaven.

But what is your favorite Aaliyah song?

I LOVE her entire discography. But if I HAD to narrow it down I would say that my favorites are 'Are You That Somebody?' and 'I Care 4 U'. I voted for the latter because it's a masterpiece.

But I love everything she's released tbh, including her album tracks ('Loose Rap', 'What If' spring to mind) and even her unreleased material (like the overlooked 'Death Of A Playa')

I really like What If, with the rock intro, but it seems to be a bit of a Marmite track to most critics. And I love Loose Rap.

'What If' is flawless imo! It's one of those tracks that really were ahead of their time, so I'm not surprised it often gets overlooked Her 3rd album as a whole was a masterpiece, though, and most critics give her a lot of credit for it. Aaliyah herself said that album was her 'Control', so this explains why it sounds so fresh and powerful.

More than a woman - great beat, great ending - haunting when you hear the vocals fading in and out

Actual fave is not there, it's I Can Be.

Out of those I would say Don't Know What to Tell You, or More Than a Woman.

I actually love Aaliyah, she is so creative, innovative and had a beautiful voice, her songs were stunning, but I voted for 'At Your Best'

'I Can Be' is brilliant! It's futuristic actually, ahead of its time as well. It still sounds fresh

I actually love every song. One of my faves at the moment is 'Throw Your Hands Up' from her debut album, but I voted for Are You That Somebody. The choreography is so intricate and she was a flawless dancer as well as a singer.

The funny thing is that if you think about it she hasn't done many full-length choreographies in her video clips. The first video that she did some steps was 'One In A Million' in 1997 and then her only full choreos are 'Are You That Somebody?' (epic!) and 'Try Again', maybe even 'More Than A Woman' to an extent. But she left such a huge mark as a dancer!

Definitely. The cave routine for Are You That Somebody is mesmerising, and she works so well with Jet Li in Try Again

Definitely. Her 'Are You That Somebody' routine was fantastic! What I love about her dancing is that it's so effortless. She doesn't look as if she's trying too hard, she's just flowing.

Wish she had made more videos, she always delivered top notch clips. I'm sure she would pull off some epic choreo for tracks like 'Don't Know What To Tell Ya' and 'Extra Smooth', but the video that I really wish she had made is 'I Care 4 U'. It would be so interesting to see what she could come up with for that track, because it's very different to the rest of her material.

That's what makes it so cool and street as well as sexy, she doesn't try too hard and just creates this magical routine

And the two you mentioned, I always imagine what the choreography would be like in my head. Those two would definitely be sassy and sexy! The thing is, I do like Don't Know What To Tell Ya but the video they made for it was for me a little bad. I understand Aaliyah had passed and I liked the previous clips but for most of it, it was Miss You clips which I didn't like because it wasn't mainly her, and when it spelt T-R-U-S-T and L-O-V-E over the screen, I wasn't too fond of that too.

As for I Care 4 U, I read somewhere that the video was going to be her performing the song live in a concert hall like Janet Jackson's 'Control'.

'Don't Know What To Tell Ya' could have been a lot better. They could have used some backstage/ behind the scenes footage, that would be interesting.

'I Care 4 U' would be epic! Her performing at a concert would be a nice concept. Less is more sometimes, especially with this song. Her eye contact would MAKE the video!! But I've always imagined the 'I Care 4 U' video to be black and white or a more mature version of 'The One I Gave My Heart To'. The concert idea is brilliant too, though

Definitely, I'd have digged some backstage Aaliyah

Speaking of The One I Gave My Heart To, I was listening to I Refuse yesterday and I could imagine that being just like the end of that video, in the rain. I liked the I Care 4 U video with the anime but it would have been a lot stronger with the concert or what you said.

Theres alot of good tracks there ad it was a tough choice, i almost went for one in a million but in the end i decided to go for Try again..i think that was a real breakthrough song for Aaliyah and Timbaland it sounded so fresh when it was released..the CD single has an instrumental version on there and i used to play that as much as the vocal mix.

I don't regret my choice of course, but I do feel kind of guilty seeing 'If Your Girl Only Knew', 'Hot Like Fire' and '4 Page Letter' having no votes. Those are some of my favorite r n'b songs ever!
