lose friends and alienate people by saying "I was very impressed by myself actually"

LOL

I had such a LOL moment when the hottie PM told Lord Sugar "I was impressed with myself actually".

Lesson in management.. build up your subordinates, give them credit, don't screw them by taking all the credit.

She gave credit to the whole team TWICE, but Sugar continued to push her to pick someone out.

I actually thought it was clever of her to say that. Obviously it does come across big headed but it shut down Sugar's questioning so it did the job!

she's so deluded.

It reminded me of Edna in last year's series when she said "after looking at everyone in the team's skills and abilities I have decided that the best person to do the pitch would be...... myself".

Hilarious stuff from Laura yet slightly stupid.

ah yes a quality moment in Apprentice history.
Wonder if Laura will be able to get in the boardroom door next week with that ego of hers...

Oh that was hilarious! Especially as her speech was so dire too! I just love the Apprentice

Haha was Edna the one with the gloves?? If so she was terrible

Great comment. She said it without a hint of self-deprecation or humour, too.

She has confidence so she could go far.

That's what I like, a good positive spin! I like Laura, so I'm going with that explanation.

the best bit was the look on their faces...

It was like watching kids being told how much their mum's going to spend on presents.

"Since you've been good this year, I'm going to give you a special present, this year you're each going to get imaginary pets for christmas"

A great television moment, said without a trace of irony

I had a feeling Laura was being edited for the losing team when she referred to herself as 'an attractive business woman' near the start of the show. The 'I was quite impressed by myself' sealed the deal!

I'm surprised she didn't buy herself a shabby-chic upcycled trumpet to blow during that task!

Laura was a hoot, self deluded but full of confidence - go for it!

As to Edna, that was a priceless moment and one that will take some beating!

She wears waaaaaay too much make-up, it kind of makes her look like a really cheap realdoll...and her eyes freak me out as well.

She also did a bit of a Samantha Brick when she mentioned that as an attractive woman, she has to work harder. Ok then

I love how the lighting/camera work on The Apprentice makes the blue eyes of the candidates stand out.

Ha, I thought the exact same thing when she was discussing the 'downsides' to being an 'attractive' businesswoman.

Yet another case of someone being given way too much praise when they were younger. Then again, just think if and when she makes the finals. The bigger (head in her case) they are, the harder they'll fall.

Absolutely TV gold which I look forward to seeing Dara exploiting! It is her lack of any sense of irony that amuses me.
