Does anyone else agree that Tom is the dark horse of the competition. He has been very quiet for the first three weeks but the task tonight proved that he is very capable.

I hope so, but I got a strange feeling he might be a surprise firing in the next couple of weeks.

Hmm, possibly. He seems to be one who'll bring out the "age" card at any given opportunity, even though he looks way older than 23.

I thought Tom did an excellent job:

- Got the big decision right - buying fewer stuff but trying items that were good enough to sell
- Tight control of the budget
- Good delegation - got the salespeople out doing the buying and he took control of the shop which actually looked very good and right for the area.

Lord Sugar was also impressed with the way he praised his team. Brave move as it could have backfired if he had lost the task.

I would have agreed before seeing tonight's episode. I didn't think he was the best PM and he looks a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights a lot to me.

This was Tom's breakout episode for me, his decision making was justifed both by Sugar and in the fact his team won the task, the question is whether or not this was done to establish Tom as a contender to win or as another attempt to turn Adam into the whinging villain who is always wrong?

He is only 23, the youngest candidate left. I thought he did really well and was calm yet decisive....

I completely agree. He was really impressive.

I thought the way they laid out the store and the items they were selling was all done really well. It did look trendy and retro!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Tom FTW!

Is Tom the one who has teeth like Shergar or the one that looks like Gary Hobbs from Eastenders?

I liked Tom from day one. Natural good judgement I guess.

1. He looks good.
2. Even he was the winning PM, Katie's confessional after Tom won the task did not improve his chance of winning the whole thing though. Another BAD decision making would be enough to be sent home

Makes dull tv, though. Not exactly Mr Exciting to watch, is he?

Thought he was pretty weak to be honest. Even though he went with that decision he didn't seem particularly sure or passionate about it.
With Katie's comment at the end, it just came down to luck it seems.

I think Tom is far too laid-back, I mean he's practically horizontal.

But then again I didn't like him already all we'd got so far is a few sour-faces and looking rather inept on the production line.

I really liked Tom's management. At first I thought he was pretty inept and that seemed to be the general consensus but his risky tactic paid off and for somebody who isn't in that market, he seemed to really know his stuff and his shop layout (which was mainly his idea, right?) was really impressive! It looked artsy and really highlighted each individual item - something that was very much lacking in the other teams shop.

At first I thought he was just a pretty face; but in reality I actually think he has quite a lot of potential... although, he got a lot of praise from Nick on You're Fired last night so perhaps that is a bad sign.

I was very impressed with Tom last night. I loved the way he handled the team, his strategy was risky but right as it turned out, he did a great job. And I liked what he said to LS about how he didn't have a bad word for any of his team as they all did exactly what he asked them to, when he asked them. Job very well done.

It doesn't look like that for the pilot for next weeks episode that he's in the firing line so I'm hoping that that's a good thing. Also, I really want him to open up a bit more and stand out just like in this weeks one.

I think he did well in the task. He seems to be quite calm and somewhat likeable compared to the others.Plus he is easy on the eye.

He reminds me of Cris who got to the final.

I think even more now after tonight's task that Tom is a strong bet for the final. He was the only one in his team to point out the problems with the equipment.

Yeah Tom's definitely one of the stronger candidates (though this lot is pretty poor overall).

I really don't like him as a person though.

I predict this guy will win be in the latter stages.

He is a strong player in my book.

Liked the look of Tom from the outset and would have bet on him as the winner if the bleedin' show wasn't pre-recorded.

(PS: also picked out Tom P last year...just got that knack I s'pose!)

He won't win, he is far too quiet. He sits in the corner and just looks moodily at the camera. Bless him.
