Camcorders that record onto discs

Do these work in the same way as camcorders with a hard drive? Eg, Do they record seperate clips that you can watch one at a time on the camcorder, or delete scenes? And you don't have to find the end of the recording to start recording again?

They work similar to hdd camcorders, and depending on the type of disc you can delete clips and re-record.

I had a Samsung DVD camcorder, wasn't the cheapest but wasn't too expensive and recoding to disc is slow and clunky. I wouldn't recommend DVD camcorders.

Thank you. Been looking on Comet and Currys websites and I'm not sure they even make them now anyway? They all seem to be memory card ones.
