Gemma Wheatley, from Peter Andre's management company, said: "It was nothing to do with any problems with dirtiness or cleanliness, it was purely mechanical.
"They asked us to put cladding around the back of the tiles and the sink was in the wrong place." From above link. I don't believe one word of that and my money is on the Food Standards Agency's food hygiene ratings being the truth. Why would they be so harsh if they hadn't serious grounds for concern? Its nothing to do with PA's popularity or otherwise and everything to do with the supply of food in an unacceptable manner. |

Having worked in kitchens I can tell you they do NOT drop points for cladding. They check for standards of hygiene and food storage... They would recommend the cladding but would not deduct points for it.

more than one reason for lost points here .
The food safety officer inspecting a business checks how well the business is meeting the law by looking at: how hygienically the food is handled – how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored the condition of the structure of the buildings – the cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities how the business manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe At the end of the inspection, the business is given one of the six ratings. The top rating of ‘5’ means that the business was found to have ‘very good’ hygiene standards. Any business should be able to reach this top rating. ETA forgot link...http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...CsrfejAguBIq6w The food safety officer will explain to the person who owns or manages the business what improvements are needed and how they can achieve the top rating of '5'. The local authority will check that these improvements are made. The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme has been designed to make sure that the ratings given to businesses are fair. F |

Looking at the mid Sussex website, it Indicates that major improvements were required.
The cafe has responded and said it has agreed with the inspection and "new management systems have been implemented". This does point to their being more than structural problems. |

Oc course its more than they are telling because anyone with half a brain would have had work down after discussion with the relevant departments which should have been done prior to opening. |

The exterior of the shop looks awful. It looks like a homeless drop in centre.

As I said on the other thread, I wonder if the cameras were there to record this - and if so, did the Nasty Inspectors make PA cry too?

In judging each business, inspectors consider how food is handled, cooked and stored; the condition of the building; cleanliness; layout and ventilation; and how paperwork is managed.

I always thought this was just a temporary thing just to keep his mug in the papers. I mean he has been touting for work off his brothers illness so he can pay the bills. Either major improvements are eating into the profits or its just fodder for his TV show.
