Afternoon all

Just been gardening for the last few hours - not a job I enjoy doing My legs and back are starting to ache already so going to have a lovely hot bath and some lunch and I will be back

If he's the same today I've already thought about saying that to him, will miss a day, if same, will then miss two days

truth be told wend that may not be a bad idea, maybe in trying to do right by him you have made your self to much at his beck and call and it wont hurt for him to realise how much you do for him as long as he is warm and safe he will be fine

I can't take much more of him flying at me Jacky, it's becoming more frequent. He's grateful everytime my sister comes over which is once a week at the most even when she's on school holidays. I was actually told something needed doing on Friday, told him Sis was there Thursday why didn't he get her to do it. His reply 'that's not her job, it's YOUR job'. Enough is enough

well im afraid to say he does need a lesson in learning to appreciate the one that is looking after him not the one that shows up know and again, does your sister ask him if he needs anything doing while she is there, if not explain to her that she needs to ask him these sort of things

Unfortunately it is the biggest back handed compliment you will ever have. You end up on the receiving end of all his frustration and grumpiness because he loves and trusts you and knows you will still be there.

Sorry everyone, have really brought the thread right down which wasn't my intention. I took 3 days for days out, too early to go and see him beforehand and too late back to go see him when I got back. Because of this he turns on me, happens everytime. Let's try and change the subject and get on a more fluffy and even keel, maybe post some tuneage if we have no news on either of our special appreciation two. I can understand this Wendy my sister is my Mums full time carer but she wont let my sister wash her or shower her i do that once a week i go up and shower her(sometimes when i'm not working i go more then once)and she washes everyday but she wont let my sister shower her i wish i could go up every day but with working diff hours i cant.

Hope you're ok Wends I can see things are hard justnow with GD, you need time for yourself too though and I've said it before and I will say it again I think you're amazing with what you do for GD, and I know you think you should be doing it you're his daughter but not all daughters would do it, especially to the extent you do, and like Jacky said he wont realise how much you do for him until you take a step back and then he will see! afternoon all. been out for a scrummy carvery & then a walk along the beach with a 99 was a bit bracing, but lovely. hubby's got a hangover after yesterdays footie win & also 1st place in the national, so he was mostly green, but he's flaked out now, so think the fresh air did him in lol!!

lyn, you must be careful about having the machine on while you're out. a lady who i used to see at our local mums & tots group, put her machine on, went to the shops, came back & her house was on fire!!!! she was only gone about half an hour.
she was due to go on holiday the week after, so we all did a whip round for clothers for her & the family, as everything was destroyed!!!
i never put mine on now unless i'm home & certainly never just before i go to bed!!
here endeth the lecture

well babies have just gone home, had tea here, now im going to daughters for roast chicken dinner yum yum

wendy dont know what to say to make you feel better, had a friend who was in same position, she worked full time and he got as he wouldnt eat the others food, there was 5 sons and 4 daughters, i was a carer and she put down shw cared for him but she never did, she go and visit once a month and say its dusty in here, and another sister travelled 10 miles once a week to clean up, they then they all had a meeting about him going into a home, all the ones that didnt do anything said he should stay at home, my friend nearly had a breakdown, anyway he went in and she still went everyday, he died a yr ago, and shes just had a breakdown in jan and still off work

back to work tomorrow, which is deeply depressing as i know it'll be dead busy cos loads were off for easter hols & tomorrow is one of my long days......so 8hrs+ for me!!!! need to get myself sorted, but cant be bothered. kids dont actually go back till thursday, but this week is hubby's shift, well till wednesday, so a 4day week for me aint bad i s'pose!!
