Call centre staff, place silly customer queries here

I will start off with.

A few years ago we bought one of the above TVs. I should have queried this at the time but didnt. Can you tell me why it is so heavy that two of us together are unable to move it from one side of the room to the other? It feels as if there are two breeze blocks inside it. I cannot imagine how the components of a TV could possibly weigh so much.

Customer calls helpdesk and says "My new fax machine is not working"

Helpdesk advises to send test document to a number given.

Helpdesk phones customer back "Yes, we have received your fax the machine is working correctly. "Can't be" replies the customer "It's still here"

Truth is stranger!!
As it happens we had a Colour TV about 14Inch i guess.. way back in 1968..in Wembley
It was a 'Finlandia ' model and cost the earth..and 2 hefty chaps could just lift it into the Lounge as it did indeed have a Huge Concrete block inside the wooden surround case..
to prevent it being stolen..
As a quid pro quo for the 'Investiture of Prince Charles'
all those years ago.. it was 'Men Only' evenings when that disgusting French Novel 'Nana' by Zola was transmitted as a series one evening a week for 6 weeks...
and by the BBC as well as 'Period Drama'.. hence of Culture value..No Mary Whitehouse in those days..I am salivating as I recall...

This reminds me of someone I worked with a number of years back.
He took an old work fax machine to send and receive faxes whilst working from home. He actually asked someone what the fax number for the machine was.
