Anybody else getting really ticked off by the judges ridiculously unfair comments about this girl?? Sometimes she can be a bit rough, yes, but the judges comments are so overly harsh on her and I feel really bad for her.

Hollie and Elise were my joint favourites going in to the Top 13 however I'm now seeing Hollie as my overall favourite. I just don't get the judges comments??? Hollie's performance last night was FANTASTIC!!! The judges comments were so uncalled for and bordering on mean. They obviously don't want her around but it's just irritating that they are doing this to a young girl!!

She is the same age as me and I don't usually get emotionally attached to Idol contestants but I just feel really gutted for her. I have nothing against harsh criticism... but when it's actually called for. There was NOTHING wrong with her performance last night. It wasn't pitchy at all, it was emotional, she connected and it was an all-round strong performance... 'Abominable' my arse!

Anyone else annoyed at the comments ??? I hope that there is some sort of backlash if she continues to get through because it's just getting worse and worse.

I don't listen to the judges comments any more. I record the show and fast forward them because they just annoy me. Sometimes they give standing ovations to singers who clearly don't deserve one, but other times they criticise someone who was actually quite good.

Regardless of what the judges say though, I don't think Hollie will win anyway. She isn't American for a start, that fact probably doesn't go down well with some of the voting public.

100% agree with you, have just watched on Youtube and I thought it was perfect. I would have expected great comments after that performance

hope theyre is controversy over those comments esp from Jimmy, who in my opinion is giving the judges a reason to stop pretending they dont have favourites!

She was better than last week, but still the weakest performance of the night for me.

And what did the judges say? Jennifer said she looks beautiful and she's rooting for her. Steven said it wasn't perfect and Randy said it was much better than last week, but still not perfect. I think they were nice to her actually.

It's a bit annoying when they are so over-the-top about everyone else, seemingly regardless of how they perform. With Hollie they are always a bit negative and condescending. Commenting on the way she looks rather than the singing.

Was it last week the judges singled out all contestants for praise as being outstanding, except for Hollie I think (maybe Elise too)? I thought that was kind of mean.

In saying that, Hollie usually gets given a good slot, usually towards the end of the show. So I'm not sure the show is completely against her.

She is my 2nd favourite and I thought she was the best yesterday and didnt deserve the comments she got.

I do like Hollie but honestly, Pia was criticized for not connecting with the audience, all of her performances are vocally very good but they leave me cold whereas the likes of Jessica and Skylar always manage to deliver emotion in their performances. With that said, I wouldn't mind if they used their save on her if she's bottom of the voting as she's still IMO at least better than Phillip who IMO is more samey than Hollie

Said it from day one. It's so obvious they're biased towards certain contestants (See Joshua and Jessica, another ridiculous standing ovation for him last night, I have to fast forward every time after his performances now). It's clear that no matter what she does they still wont give her much praise, sheer madness really. Same slightly happened to a lesser extent last season with Haley, who they clearly didn't want to win.

Pia ... They both have amazing voice which I love. The difference between them is Pia was the best singer of season 10 (and I wasn't a Pia fan) and Hollie is probably one of the weakest (among the remaining contestants).

Judges might have been biased toward some contestants, I wouldn't argue that. I don't think Joshua's performance last night deserved S.O nor thought Jessica's deserved that much praise. But that doesn't mean they have been mean to Hollie. The worst thing she got last night was that she wasn't perfect and like I said I thought judges were nice to her. Absolutely perfect and that's what I love about Hollie. Only if she could be as good on stage and deliver the song and that's the difference between her and Pia. She just lacks some experience. She's lovely and she has an amazing voice.

I think Joshua and Jessica are a million miles in front of Hollie. I also think the judges are the most honest out of all the talent shows and call it spot on most of the time especially Randy. I do think Jessica will be Americas next superstar. Rarely do you hear someone that has such a special voice that stands out from the rest. You have lots of good singers but Jessica is just a bit special.

I completely agree with all of the above. I don't rate Hollie much I'm afraid, but she would probably still win the UK X-Factor hands down (which goes to show how much better the talent is in the USA).

Although Jessica and Joshua are by far the best vocallists, it wouldn't surpise me if Philip or Colton win.

I strongly disagree here. Hollie is in fact far ahead of those two but the judges for whatever reason don't want her in the competition so whatever she sings and however brilliant she sings it they will not give her the praise she deserves. But yet people like Jessica who shouted her way through that song get all "wow you are amazing" thing is anyone can shout through a song like karaoke. And Joshua just does the same thing, shouting and a weird screech and gets all standing ovations for what? NOT singing? It is a SINGING competition.

And Jennifer Who-pez even contradicted everything the judges have been saying every week by saying "we give you advice to get you to be better than the previous week". Well telling everyone except Hollie they are fantastic every week isn't going to get them thinking they need to improve anything is it.

And the judges being honest? These three are the worst group of judges EVER. The whole point of being a judge is to have an opinion but not a clear biased one towards certain contestants. And to keep it proffessional. So why when asked by Ryan "who do you think is in danger this week?" Jennifer Who-pez says "i dunno, let America decide..heh heh heh heh heh". They aren't judging they avoid telling the truth and when pressed to answer a question they find excuses.

Actually i disagree with you here. Hollie is better than both chosen ones Joshua and Jessica. And the fact American idol originated from the UK kind of says it all really. And comparing American idol this year to recent X factor (it is X factor because it is the original and so X factor is not X factor UK but just X factor unless it is another Countries version like X factor USA) and you see that the X factor talent is far above American idol. And the judges are far superior. Check out the Voice UK and the voice coaches are better than American idol "judges".

I completley agree with the OP. It's getting quite uncomfortable to watch now. Hollie, along with Phillip, are my two favourites left. I haven't seen much of the performances yet, only Hollie's and Skylar's, but Hollie was better than Skylar IMO, yet the judges raved about Skylar and were again negative about Holly. I thought Holly was brilliant, yet I knew the judges wouldn't be positive towards her. I don't get it, I really don't. Did she kill their pet godlfish or something? It was really nice to see Elsie tweet after the show about how brilliant she thought Hollie had been.

It's all a matter of opinion, but for me, Hollie doesn't interpret the music enough. She just sings in a very straight fashion. Yes she can hit and hold notes, but that's not really enough. I'm not a huge fan of Jessica or Joshua either , but they do at least interpret the music.

Hollie is good but she almost seems to lack a bit of life experience to sometimes make the songs believable. I know Jessica is younger but there is something about her that yells old beyond her years so somehow gets away with it.

I really like Holly and it annoys me that the judges don't seem to like her singing ability, surely it's the way the song is altered for Holly that can sometimes make it sound bad? It's really disrespectful to her to not give her proper criticism just because they are miffed that she keeps surviving.

The clear bias and favouritism being shown towards Jessica and Joshua are why they were in the bottom three last night, imo.

The public don't appreciate being swayed into who to vote for and are starting to back the underdogs now.

Yes but the thing is they are constantly praising all the other contestants. In the last three weeks in a row they have slated Hollie who in my opinion has been better than most in the last three weeks and deserving of praise but they refuse to give it however good or bad she is. Hollie singing "Perfect" this week was the best of the night and the judges STILL refused to praise her and that Jimmy even told her she'd be fantastic as he listened to her sing it in the coaching session but on result night put in in the bottom 3 and said she was rubbish.

Then when Jessica or Joshua come on however bad they are it is always praise. If they had told Jessica the truth about that "stuttering" song and her singing it was rubbish then maybe she'd not have been placed last.

I'd only seen Hollie's and Skylar's performances when I commented in here before, now I've seen all of them, I'll comment again. But my opinion is still the same.

I honestly thought she was the best of the night. She wasn't trying to be perfect (Steven ) she was trying to sing well, and put feeling into it. And she did both. She hit all the notes (Randy ) and did an awesome job. I actually think it was her best performance of the live shows. I thought Jimmy might have given her some credit, but he seems to be on whatever the juges are on. I felt so sorry for her, yet again. You could see she took a big breath in and sighed at one point during the judges comments. I'm suprised at how well she is handling it all. She just needs to sing what she wants to sing, and how she wants to sing it. She's getting voted in because of that. If it doesn't get her much further, at least she can hold her head high and say she did what she wanted to do.
