Hi there Ruby.

Sorry, No relation to Leon, just found it strange that i though he was superb through all the auditions, rounds etc, but the judges had no end of praise for him in the final 50, yet villified him in the final 12. And both performances were excellent (as far as I can remember).

Here's other reality/vote show examples which were horribly wrong (IMHO)
Peter and Alex in final of Fame academy
Mark and Michelle in PI2 final
Top 100 musicals: Grease won, Miss Saigon was 99th. Beauty and the Beast nowhere.
Every Great British Song contest Winner for the last 3 or 4 years...

On that Basis, I may toss a 7 sided object to choose my X factor winner...

Welcome Mr T

Louis keeps calling G4 raw talent and he hasn't got a clue what to do with them. He seems to have a set mentality that can only deal with a ready made package, he's come up against something he has to actually try and shape and he's b*llsing it up big time.

If he stopped trying to turn them into a novelty boy band it would be a start.

I find it odd that he gives VWS and 2 to Go songs that fit their ready made image, yet is intent on finding the most unsuitable stuff he can for the boys. Anyone would think he wants them to go home.

He obviously doesn't read this forum or they would be singing 'Vienna' this week.

I agree with you about Mark and Michelle - but my favourite in the final 12 was Susanne, followed by Roxanne, and my least favourite, Leon. I think Alex is exceptional, and the mistake regarding Peter is that he wasn't in the FA top three - he went out fourth, before Alistair and Carolynne. Paris should have been in the final with Alex. I can't stand musicals, but I like Grease. Not much common ground there, hey! Still, it's a very good thing that we all have our own tastes.

......well it was written in stone from day l that Alex Parks would win FA2 - the producers/record company decided they didn`t want a "Sneddon clone" to win, so everything that could be done in her favour was - Alex praised to the hilt each week, even after mediocre performances, others, including poor Alistair and James really taking some quite personal attacks from that apology for a man - Richard Parke - wheeling out various high-profile celebs at the live shows ....all highly praising Alex and horror of horrors the disgusting scenario of Daniel Bedingplant openly telling everyone to vote for Alex on final night - yuk. Poor Alistair never stood a chance, the odds were stacked against him. And then there is the mystery of several thousand text votes for Alistair that mysteriously were never counted even though they were registered 30 minutes before voting ended. Will history repeat itself????? - that is the million dollar question

I could definitely see shades of Fame Academy 2 - like favouritism during the first two weeks of X facator towards Rowetta, but in the last week that seems to have tailed off. Perhaps Simon realised it could have a detrimental effect on her popularity. (Having said that there is a two page article on Rowetta's hard life in the Daily Mail today - coincidental it's on X-factor day?)

Oh I definitely think she is still Simon's favourite - I can't give a link to the Mail article as it's not online, but Rowetta is quoted as saying Simon has said she has the best voice he has ever heard How many times does Simon say that in each series he is in? He either has a very bad memory or talks out of his arse

Even though Rowetta continues to be my choice the obvious favouritism has left a nasty taste in my mouth.
I voted the first week of live shows but haven't done so since.
I hated the favouritism in FA but then it wasn't Alex that I voted for. I'm not going to be two -faced and applaud the favouritism this time just because it is levelled at my personal favourite.

There's alot of "favourites" in the above but couldn't think of another word.

I wonder what the viewing figures are for this ITV2 programme?

I unfortunately can't see it as I am on satellite free viewing so no ITV2 (nice ITV 3 though).

I ask and state that as there seems to be annoyance that there is favouritism - but it is probably worth remembering that for the vast majority of us, the only coverage we see is on a Saturday night on ITV1 or Scottish TV.

...very interesting 2 page article in today`s Daily Express about the bullying endured by Cassie and the lads from G4 (lovely pics of both by the way). Also little bits of behind the scenes gossip including this " Sharon Osbourne does not want her favourite Tabby Callaghan to win the X Factor because she thinks it would ruin his career. "I think Tabby is great but I don`t want him to win, he`d lose his credibility. I want him to get the exposure and then go off and do it" she said. That could be said about all of them really, so why the hell are we bothering to vote

Oh Shazza...you silly woman. People like Steve! Maybe she doesn't like him 'cause he is the other 'single male' in the group and he's attracting young and older female votes that she'd like to go to Tabby?

The thing is, lots of young guys might well like Tabby and not Steve?

Oh!!!!!! ROFL

Thank goodness it wasn't Shazza....but Shazza thinks Steve's a fake anyway, doesn't she? She slated him last week for 'trying' to be like a black soul singer.

So she picks Say A Little Prayer for Cassie originally sung by Aretha - it does make me laugh.
