Hello

Please can someone help me as really don't know where I am going wrong.

Today me and hubby bought the DR-MV1 and have been having fun testing it out. Well we recorded Corrie tonight (just to test it) and it came out great playing it back on the recorder but when I try to play it on a normal dvd player such as on a pc or the PS2 it will not work. We are using the correct disks (DVD-RW) and am finalising it before putting it in another machine but nothing happens, the disk drive won't recongise it. We recorded it using video mode. Have we done the wrong thing by buying it if it won't play recorded material in another machine? Has it got a fault finalising or is it the disks we got?

Would be really grateful if anyone can help.

Many thanks in advance

I too have this recorder and one of the best things about it is that whatever signal u feed into it (svideo - scart - composite) - it outputs as prog scan!

So i put my dvd - sky plus etc into the dvd recorder - components out into my pana ae100 - and voila - everything is prog scan!

Excellent player (spesh when u pick it up for £175 from SkyBuy) - but....................it does have a tendency to just lock up every now and then..................I have to unplug from mains - plug back in then leave it for a few hours and it seems okay.

Dave

I have a DR-MV1, what do you mean it outputs as Prog Scan??

Please can you tell me how you have conected it, the only way I can get widescreen recording is to:-

SKY+ TV > JVC DR-MV1 Scart 2
JVC DR-MV1 Scart 1 > TV Scart 1

only problem with this is I am not able to turn the JVC JVC DR-MV1 off, have to leave in standby which is a pain because of the noisy fan!
