Still angry over this. Even more angry since watching the performances. I wasn't shocked at all by the bottom three. Hollie, Skylar and Colton all did really well, and I know some have said Phillip is becoming boring, but on the flipside that's why I like him, because he is Phillip, and he does Phillip every week, and he will still do Phillip after the show. He clearly has a big fanbase too, so wasn't suprised that he was safe.

I watch the show with my mum and dad (because I'm cool like that!) and both of them couldn't believe the criticism Hollie got, and the way the judges reacted on the results show. In my dad's words, with regards to Hollie, "It's just like they want her off the show for some reason!" followed by a sad face! Yes, indeed it is dad!

Or that...

Hollie went first! Glad she got good comments from the judges, how much they actually meant them though, who knows?!

Just watched it and was shocked that Hollie got the praise she deserved. But then again it got me thinking are they doing it on purpose as she was put on first and thier favourites were on at the end again. It is funny i don't recall Jessica and Joshua being on within the first few contestants since the first two live shows. They have always been put on near the end which makes me think they are so desperate for those two to the finalists.

I hope Hollie gets the votes and it would be strange if Jessica got the least votes again and be like the public is sticking the middle finger up at them for using the save on her. I noticed the comments to Joshua and Jessica about not deserving to be in bottom three despite the fact the public vote so they obviously DID deserve to be in bottom three.

I think the judge's save is a good thing.

This notion that the bottom three is what the public wanted is flawed because the public aren't voting for who they want in the bottom three they are just voting for their favourite or to save someone they think might be in danger and who they would like to see more of.

There are lots of ways in which the most popular people can end up in the bottom. For example, if 90% vote for the most popular and not for their second favourite who is the second most popular and 10% vote for someone else then you end up with the second most popular in the bottom.

Alternatively, if people consider their favourite safe but want to shore up the votes of the one they think most likely to go they could easily end up voting more for the underdog than the person they actually prefer.

It's because of this sort of thing that Judges get to veto the results if they think the situation warrants it and I think it was definitely the right time to use it with Jessica.

It wasn't that they used their save on Jessica. It was the way they went about it; totally disregarding the voters opinions completely; acting as though they were idiots for not voting for the judges favourite; saying that any of the bottom three would be saved. Especially when Elise was standing there too (how many times has she been in the borrom - that's not something you can chalk up to a one-off mistake). If they had been dignified and sensible instead of insulting people who paid for their favourite to be in the competition then there would not be an issue.
