Just a heads up guys. T-Mobile now offers the Full Monty on sim only at http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/sim-o...eplan=microsim

Although I'm rather disappointed that Tethering is excluded. This means I will still have to stick with 3.

No 30 day unlimited texts?
No tethering included?
More expensive?

It's shocking that they'd even bother!

5000 is enough for 99% of the population though

you took the words out of my mouth. Looks like the best deal continues to be had elsewhere.

I agree as well. If they included tethering, I would join them because Orange/T-Mobile coverage is better than 3 but tethering is important for me.

Three's one plan is still better value for money. But i have to applaud T-Mo for bringing out a sim only variant. Much cheaper than the £36pm for every phone contract they were doing before.

Indeed and if I recall correctly, Three's One plan sim only did not let you tether to start with.

Even if they did introduce tethering, which would be great, i'd probably still stick with Three because of the uncapped speeds. I know a number of people who can only get up to 3.8mbps on T-Mo where as i have seen up to 13.5mbps on three. (plus there will be an upgrade to 42mbps nationwide by september so we could be seeing even faster speeds with Three soon) I know people say you don't need speed that fast but when you're tethering and downloading large files then the extra speed is quite nice.

So IMO, i'd only consider this equal to the one plan if they do the above. T-Mo have an advantage already of 2G backup + Shared 3G with Orange which is good. If they do the above i'd recommend it to everyone i meet in the street :P

Dj'a know what? If you really need more than 5000 texts per month....(add your own scorn here) If we assume a thirty day cycle, and 8 hours out of 24 asleep, that's 10.4 texts per hour...

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth here, but I think the point being made by Daveoc64 was that considering Full Monty is more expensive and doesn't include tethering or free voicemail you'd think that unlimited texts (or some such) would be included as something to differentiate between it and Three's One Plan - but that hasn't really happened. That was certainly the basis behind my earlier 'the best deal continues to be had elsewhere' comment anyway.

While I'm here...

Indeed and if I recall correctly, Three's One plan sim only did not let you tether to start with.
well... The One Plan has included tethering across the board since data on it went AYCE - before that it came with 1GB of data, so if you wanted to tether you needed to add more data anyway. There was a bit of a row when the One Plan sim only first went 30 day as they were evidently intending to have a 30 day = no tethering/12 month = tethering included split on it, but they never brought that in.

That's true, but the reason for that is clear - they don't do "unlimited" when it's not.

The other networks offer "unlimited" texts when they don't mean it - "The Full Monty" is perhaps an exception to that.
