EPG problem after Humax update
Grandad56
14-04-2012
Since the update for the Humax, I have found that both Movies4Men & +1 channels have no EPG data. Has anyone else had this problem, or whether there is a way of forcing the data onto the box.

Thanks in advance

It's been like that since they moved transponders which was before the ota update. See the freesat change log on the freesat thread.

As Graham said, Movies 4 Men have been without EPG data since their update.......see link below:

It's not the box, it's at the M4M end. They will probably return in due course. If you're desperate to know what's on these channels then there is a very good Freesat TV guide located at:

http://www.tvguide.co.uk/default.asp?thisday=&thisTime=

Choose the Freesat menu option about halfway along the horizontal menu bar just above the TV listings.

Thanks to chrissaf and grahamlthompson.

I have TVBrowser on my PC, but without the EPG, I can't program the films I want to record, or can I?

You can add a manual repeating recording. In the abscence of epg data you can't set up series recordings.

Press schedule and then up to get a blank entry, just fill in the details.

Many thanks Graham. I might try this, I have setup the 2nd cable and re-tuned, sadly lost some of the scheduled items on the missing EPG data, so will look up TVBrowser on PC and add them in manually.

Yes, I found it when re-scheduling my recordings. Thanks once again.
