I don't have the option for STB mode in my Humax HDR menu, could this be due to my only having one cable from the dish? (waiting to connect second cable tomorrow)
STB mode will not appear in your HDR menu until you have performed a 'manual' channel scan and saved the results (page 46 in your paper manual states this). The 'manual' scan option appears in the same menu as the 'Freesat' scan option. I don't use this mode myself, but this mode and its limitations have been well documented in other threads*** in this forum if you care to use the search function.
Edit: The number of LNB cable feeds is irrelevant to this function.
Edit *** e.g Non Freesat mode limitations, such as can't integrate manual channels into Freesat EPG unless using modded firmware.

Thanks in advance

When you connect the second cable you need to do a factory reset so that the Foxsat will know that it has been fitted.
I haven't gone through all the individual results to assess suitability of content, but results were obtained. The accuracy of the search depends upon how you perform it, for example don't use the obvious search box located at the top right hand corner entitled search "digital spy". Use the advanced search function see following link for an example and restrict the search to the "Freesat + Recorder" forum.
Follow up to my previous reply. The links to the search results seem to have timed out and no longer return a list of hits. They can be found again if you re-search these search strings via the bottom 'advanced search' link.
Ran the second cable to the box today and re-tuned. Lost my recording schedule, will need to setup again. Found 2nd cable and all working okay. Did a manual scan, what a lot of channels, need to delete what I already have in Freesat mode.
