Sorry about ANOTHER thread on these two bands, but just had to post this! One Direction actually tried to flee the studio because they thought The Wanted were going to beat them up!? If that's true then...Dear. God.

And Louis refused to go near them? Mature

To be fair, one or two of them have been bad mouthing One Direction for a while now... it's not worth even talking to them.

Why? The press won't leave this supposed band 'rift' alone. So annoying, and this from someone who likes both groups.

The Daily Mail exaggerates everything anyway

It's 1990s PR.

Spice Girls vs All Saints
Take That vs Boyzone
Boyzone vs Westlife
Atomic Kitten vs Sugababes
Sugababes vs Girls Aloud
Eternal vs themselves

Etc, etc. It creates interest and press coverage, both are likely involved with keeping a rivalry going in order to stay in peoples minds, especially while they're unable to promote in the UK. It's traditional.

One Direction are cuter. The Wanted seem to be a bunch of knobheads.

One Direction are more conventionally attractive I suppose, but based on both personality and singing ability I prefer The Wanted by miles. The Wanted have four strong singers, One Direction have two at a stretch.

To be fair, one or two of them have been bad mouthing One Direction for a while now... it's not worth even talking to them.
They quite strongly denied that. Always been quite pleasant when asked about them in video interviews I've seen.

first it was take that vs nkotb, then take that vs east 17 and then towards the end it was take that vs boyzone. to be fair they saw off a lot of competition. east 17 peaked in 1994 and boyzone became more popular than them shortly after.

Hear'say really?
I understand the Steps vs S Club 7, I remember in primary school it was 'cooler' to like S Club

In today's news Nathan denies any rivalry between the groups.

Yep. The amount of times people denied liking Steps, pretending to listen to S Club 7 or Hear'Say, then you'd catch them singing along with you to a Steps song 5 minutes later.

The biggest culprit was my RE teacher!

Not really that's a generalisation, there is alot of fans on twitter the same age as the boys, who also run fan pages for them. But the ones who trend topics are obviously the younger ones.

And even 1D have done gigs at nightclubs, not as much as TW though.

The Wanted - Nice down to earth dudes.
One Direction - Arrogant, up themselves divos (or should that be divi?) who were acting as though they were someone even before they had a hit.

I am talking about image wise. 1D is appealing to the 10 to 15 year-olds. When they start singing about getting pissed and having promiscuous sex and making videos about them let me know.
