I'm disappointed we don't know how Ste ruins their romantic date.

Yeah, but I can't seem to muster up much enthusiasm for either Brendan or Ste if it isn't going to be about them together. It just ... loses pretty much all reward otherwise if he resolves the issues from his background and Ste isn't part of that. My biggest dread now is that they will get his evolution right ironically, but the satisfaction of seeing Emmett not have his time wasted and knowing Brendan as a character wasn't either, will just end up edged out by the f*ckery of an ever-popular Stug and that the show's timely statement on what they've mishandled to look like 'promotion' will have stood for too long. I honestly don't think I'll feel like anything is worth it, like getting something right is better than nothing at all.

I know they managed to hold on to Emmett for another year, but I'm more sure than ever it was with empty promises they can't live up to, because look what they've already done and ruined.
And this makes me sound really bad, but if they've screwed the best actor and story they've ever had by the time he leaves, than at least the bitter cynic in me will be able to take pleasure from it. I'd rather that, then have my heart broken all the more for 'playing the long game', only to get the bittersweetness of Brendan finding any peace but so wrongly without Ste.
They can try to move on and away from Stendan all they like, but if you shipped them at all, can Brendan achieve endgame on his own without his boy?

I dunno what the majority think of it, But It's not just this thread. I saw negative comments of here, other threads, twitter, facebook and the likes.

I mean come on, People shipped stally before they realised That It's not gonna happen. So a lot of people just like some pretty man on man action rather than the structure and the complexity (or lack of) of the storyline. Not saying Shipping stug Is bad btw, just saying that It's doesn't matter who the majority is, in this case.
