Men who like men don't have to be in a relationship to get plenty of sex, there are places like saunas which are set up for anonymous gay sex purposes, a man could go to one in his dinner hour and no-one else would know he'd ever been.

It's very easy to hide a gay lifestyle if you aren't in the public eye since you don't have millions of female fans wondering if you're sexually available, if you do then it becomes harder to keep it a secret.

I doubt the Sun would even take it that far considering that owners daughter is a good friend of SC and the Fox network which airs hsi shows is owned by the same people In fact i did wonder with all these investigations going on with the Murdock empire if something will come to light

I was giving an example, they're all friendly with each other, they've had stories from Max for years. The press know they're only as good as their last exclusive, if they can get a few exclusives off Max lasting weeks they'll drop an exclusive against one of his clients.

With The Sun, sure. But not all the tabloids are close to Max or Cowell (notably The News of the World under Andy Coulson had something of a feud with Clifford for a few years because they printed a story that he told them not to).

Your last point raises something else - does anyone know if Max has any other big clients? Because I've not heard of one which seems remarkable for someone who is supposedly so powerful. In fact, I'm hugely sceptical of what MCA even does for Simon Cowell these days (more PR responses seem to come from his in-house team at Syco). It seems that Max only pops up when it's a chance to get his own mug on the TV.

There's definitely shreds of evidence to suggest he's gay. But the continued absence of any claims is suspicious. The past few days have shown (again) that the tabloids aren't afraid to discuss the idea that he's gay despite Max's supposed omnipotence. Yet we've had nothing, really. Especially when he was 40 before he got famous. That's 20+ years of sexual activity to cover up. And it's not just a case of hiring Max Clifford - there's a whole world of extremely invasive aggressive US gossip sites that Mr Clifford and Carter Ruck don't have any control over whatsoever. If Cowell took an injunction, it'd be in the US media anyway.

Anyway, this may fade in the next few days. Purely coincidentally, they've just announced Gary Barlow is returning to X Factor in time for tomorrows papers. I'm sure more will follow...

This is just so weird when less than a month ago the papers were full of how Cowell and co were getting freaked out by David Walliams and his Gay remarks with simon.

Henry, you sound like you WANT it to be true....give it up, will ya? he has had far too many girlfriends and one night stands and I for one think it is distasteful that people are seeing these women as stupid or 'beards' (hate that term) when they go out with him.
