Simon is an intelligent man... Why does he think he can fool us?

I think Simon's PR agent needs to update how he plants stories, he's not convincing anyone these days since he uses the same old tricks time after time.

It comes as no surprise and it was obvoius that he brought Cheryl in as atry to cool his feelings down.

I still say they'd make a great couple.

This is rather disappointing.

I'm a huge fan of Tom Bower's writing and have read most of his unauthorised biographies. They usually follow a pattern - pick a controversial public figure (Mohammed Al Fayed, Richard Branson, Conrad Black) and inform them that you're writing a warts-and-all bio on them; would they like to contribute? They typically say no, try to block the book, but TB goes ahead anyway and it ends up being a jolly good read.

Apparently when he approached Simon, he agreed to cooperate with the bio by giving Tom Bower "honest" interviews and an insight into his life (he probably had him on his hired yatch at some point).

Thsi means the so-called unauthorised bio we get will be effectively authorised and ridiculously watered down, which makes it rather pointless as anyone who's read "Fayed" will attest.
^^ All of that with knobs on (simons probably)

If cowell has romped with danni minogue and with Natalie umbruglia then he is a down right legend In my eyes.

I would also like cowell and danni to start dating. They make a nice couple.

If the headline was H from Steps had a secret hot affair with Danni Minogue then I would be much more inclined to believe it.

Think the writer has got confused. Simon probably had a fling with someone called Danny, not Dannii.

Just give it up Si and come out

Why do people think Cowell is gay? I know it's a running joke, but what's the actual reasoning behind it? I can't help but feel it's some sort of jealous reaction to his success.

Yes to accuse someone of being gay is a dig at their success. Obviously

More likely to have shared botox injections than bodily fluids.

No, I think accusing Cowell of hiding some personal secret - in this instance his sexuality - is a way of digging at him. I await the evidence for his supposed gayness.

I'm also curious to why this has started.
Simon is very powerful and maybe that's the reason to this. A try to make him 'less' appealing or something.

Given that The Sun's TV advert for its serialisation of the biography was shown immediately after BGT finished last night, and Cowell himself tweeted that he wasn't looking forward to the "unauthorised" book in turn not long after that, it's pretty certain this is exactly what's happened.

Isn't it interesting that this bit of gossip has hit the headlines as Simon's show is struggling against the BBC Voice. Honestly, can the public really be that stupid to believe that this is true! Nodoubt, after all the headlines and publicity, Simon or Dannii will deny the rumour and we will have interview after interview!!! Didn't Mel C do the same thing when she was desperately trying to promote her US Reality Show......we heard rumour after rumour about the "breakdown of her marriage" only for the story to be denied after all the headlines had achieved their goal. Can people still be so easily manipulated by the public relations/spin doctors of these celebs???

Why did the Sun say under the article that their lawyers were watching?

Keep explaining away the obvious by using lap dancers and calling semi-famous women you briefly knew 'old flames' or 'ex girlfriends' kind of gets people wondering why. Consider that HE thinks it makes him 'more' appealing or something to continue with this farce.

Yes it all does scream of desperate efforts to gain any publicity and attention as the Cowell star begins to lose it's glow! Its a real sign that his time in the sun is beginning to fade when the personal stories are not only allowed out there but it seems actively encouraged. He even tweeted about this book himself last night...enough said !!! Its like they have nothing to lose now......just go for it... any headlines at all will do.
