Given that The Sun's TV advert for its serialisation of the biography was shown immediately after BGT finished last night, and Cowell himself tweeted that he wasn't looking forward to the "unauthorised" book in turn not long after that, it's pretty certain this is exactly what's happened.

Isn't it interesting that this bit of gossip has hit the headlines as Simon's show is struggling against the BBC Voice. Honestly, can the public really be that stupid to believe that this is true! Nodoubt, after all the headlines and publicity, Simon or Dannii will deny the rumour and we will have interview after interview!!! Didn't Mel C do the same thing when she was desperately trying to promote her US Reality Show......we heard rumour after rumour about the "breakdown of her marriage" only for the story to be denied after all the headlines had achieved their goal. Can people still be so easily manipulated by the public relations/spin doctors of these celebs???

Keep explaining away the obvious by using lap dancers and calling semi-famous women you briefly knew 'old flames' or 'ex girlfriends' kind of gets people wondering why. Consider that HE thinks it makes him 'more' appealing or something to continue with this farce.

Yes it all does scream of desperate efforts to gain any publicity and attention as the Cowell star begins to lose it's glow! Its a real sign that his time in the sun is beginning to fade when the personal stories are not only allowed out there but it seems actively encouraged. He even tweeted about this book himself last night...enough said !!! Its like they have nothing to lose now......just go for it... any headlines at all will do.
