Just curious if anyone knows how these came to be released, EMI usually kept a very firm grip on the Beatles recordings and these are NOT illegal bootlegs

The items in question are
"And Now: The Beatles" S*R International 73735 (Germany 1966, sleeve credits "Odeon" which was an EMI label on the continent

Also
"THE BEATLES - THE WORLD'S BEST - S & R international 77235 - Germany"

I have a couple of box-set LPs from S*R International and the label appears to have been a part of BMG-Ariola, anyway if you're interested you can always bid.
