Banana Milkshake Recipe?
AcidVenus

I just wandered how many of you make your own milkshakes and how you do it?
I really fancy a homemade banana milkshake at the moment.

There's a few recipes online, each with some extra ingredients other than the obvious and some with different quantities of sugar etc so I just wanted some more opinions/suggestions.

I made Ferrero Rocher milkshake the other night.

A few good dollops of vanilla ice cream
Semi skimmed milk
About 6 FR

And whizz, if it doesn't look thick enough, add a bit more ice cream. Voila.

Last time I was in NZ a freind made my a banana chocolate milkshake to die for!
It's also a great way to use up bananas that have gone very brown.

Any overripe bananas he pops in the freezer.

For milkshake he takes them straight out, peels them and pops it in the blender with vanilla ice cream, milk and a few spoonfuls of milo. Blummin deligh.

Yeah I've seen some others with alsorts of random things added.
Does it not work with just milk? Is ice cream needed. I have used ice cream but I only have a small freezer so can't stock it.

i think the ice cream just keeps it a bit thicker, and sweetens it.

try it without. milkshake with milk and nesquik powder is not very thick, is it.
