The organisers really have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to music

Haha...unbelievable. What an own goal. I like the reply their manager sent back.

"I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to the Who's anthemic line 'I hope I die before I get old'," the band's longtime manager, Bill Curbishley, told the Times. "If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him."

Trivia corner: their manager is the brother of one time ace footie manager, Alan Curbishley.

I wonder if they even knew what he was like - can you imagine the mayhem he would cause at an event like that

I wonder who they asked next?

"Anyone got John Bonham's number?"
"No, let's ask Peter Grant, he's bound to know!"

They're still waiting for a response from Amy Winehouse but hope she'll be there

Keith's sadly unavailable that day but Syd Barrett says he's up for it!

I'm sure they could persuade this chap to take Mr Moon's place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8aGlOj2VFo

I wonder if they are related in any way

All of a sudden Twenty Twelve seems a far more realistic television programme.

That made my day. How can anyone not know that Keith Moon, drummer for the biggest rock n roll band in history, died in 1978?
