DVD-R & DVD+R
I have a new dvd recorder and can record on both dvd-r and dvd+r.
What is the difference on them if any? And what 1 is better to record on Thanks Steven |

TBH I don't really know the differences, they all work the same I think. They all work in my PC's DVD burner too.

I belive that + gives better quality recordings but the + discs are more expensive than the the - ,saying that I always buy the - and I cant see the difference.
Good place to get both are www.blankdiscshop.co.uk |

And what 1 is better to record on Thanks Steven This may not matter to you if you use DVD+R recording and then play the discs on one player that you know plays them OK, but if you want portability to other players, I'd go for DVD-Rs (oh yes and use Verbatim media - the make of media is highly important to compatibility believe it or not). I make promotional films professionally and author low volumes on burned DVDs so I'm speaking from bitter experience , both in terms of the +R/-R question and in terms of media brands.Roger |
