Later this year, there is some itv player programs on A+, not much cop though all old stuff, bet nobody ever watches them.

Apart from the lack of content that is how ITV player will be when it lauches fully.

I can't see BBC iPlayer being any different because interactive applications can take up to a minute to load up because Sky boxes lack the dedicated memory to store 3rd party aplications that is fairly common on current sat boxes.

I agree with you re: ITV Player, but as for iPlayer I'm not so sure. The BBC have been insistent all along that iPlayer is a recognisible, familiar and branded service, whereas Sky just wanted to slot the BBC's programmes into it's existing AT+ framework.

Perhaps the upcoming software upgrade to Sky+HD boxes may facilitate the addition of a dedicated iPlayer app, as already seen on XBox360, PS3 etc??

(in fact, the BBC had a similar dispute with Microsoft and got there own way there)

Time will tell I suppose.
