I admire Nigel Pivaro for the work he has done and the education that he has achieved since he left CS a few years ago.

Former Coronation Street star Nigel Pivaro, who played Terry Duckworth, has been awarded a Masters Degree by the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

Mr Pivaro, 44, graduated with an MSc in Social Science and Economics, specialising in Terrorism and International Relations.

"It has been a life changing experience going to university," he said.

Before going on to do his masters he got a 2:1 BA with Hons in Contemporary Military and International History from The University of Salford.

That is very, very, very sad.

I just hope that he reads this so that he knows how much we appreciate him.

There is just something about our Turry - and Nigel Pivaro

Tommy - "Dad, you know when I told you he faked his own death, it didn't exactly go well, he died".

Terry - "Well that's taking it a bit too far".

I enjoyed seeing Nigel Pivaro again.

I am glad he has a successful career in journalism, but hope to see Turry again one day

Agreed. And good to see Terry getting a happy ending, he is now rich. Hopefully he comes back again. Really enjoyed Nigel Pivaro's performance, good luck to him in the future.

Thanks for visiting my thread k9fan, nice to see another fellow Terry and Pivaro fan.

Thank you very much for starting the appreciation thread, and I hope that it will not fade away into oblivion.

This is nice:
http://entertainment.stv.tv/tv/30614...-nigel-pivaro/
"Michelle said: “It’s been great working with Nigel. I think he’s seen as sort of a Corrie icon, so it’s always great when you work with people you grew up watching.
“He’s a really good actor as well. He plays the part of Terry really well."

I sign off now, until the next time here ...
Joy

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/...pantomime.html

"It will be an interesting pleasure to work in the historic sea faring town of Lowestoft, its residents are hardy, inventive and resilient from its fishing roots to leading the way in renewable energy.

"However my stage persona will not be undergoing any such transformation as I will be sticking to the script to perform one of the most dastardly pantomime villains known to man!"

Pantomime producer Paul Holman added: "Nigel is the archetypical soap baddie. He has so much experience to bring to the production of Aladdin at the Marina Theatre and we're thrilled to have him on board."

Here is an interview with him on Loose Women, but quite old now as he was about to leave the street again at the time. He seems like a great bloke.

Nigel has written a nice tribute for the late Bill Tarmey.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...nation-1430417

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...s-tribute.html Late Coronation Street star Bill Tarmey has been described as a "second father" and a "very wise and dignified man" by his on-screen son Nigel Pivaro. Pivaro, who played Jack's son Terry for periods between 1983 and 2012, has since praised Tarmey as a man who "cared deeply" for his loved ones and was able to "lighten up" their world.

"I am devastated to learn of the passing of someone who became a huge part of both my professional and personal life, who I came to look on as a second father," he said.

"He was a very wise and dignified man who taught me a great deal and whose counsel I came to value greatly.

"He was a lovely man who cared deeply for his family and friends. We are all rightly bereft at the loss we will feel knowing that the world will be a little poorer without Bill to lighten it up with his warm humour."
