I believe that the "unofficial" limits (not publicly acknowledged) for tariffs which are not set with a quoted data allowance, those are now set to around 500MB per month....

Three appears to genuinely be the only telco which is not monitoring data use unless it's tethering”

T-Mobile as well (full monty 24)

@wavejock, yeh i can't find the 1GB limit stuff, but i was told it by a couple of people who use the network.

" ultimate answer is the Spanish Telefonica Group"

My mistake mentioning BT, heartfelt apologies for confusing you.

"If you get good BT 3g then Giff Gaff is great" should of course be "If you get good O2 3g then Giff Gaff is great" My excuse is that it was written in the early hours after pain woke me up and I was waiting for the Tramadol to kick in.

There is nothing like T mobile Full Monty SIM Only plans. Full Monty plan on T mobile is only available with mobile phones. The data usage is unlimited, yes. it is unlimited. No fari usage policy. But torrent downloading is somehow blocked.

Full monty for £41 a month gets you Unlimited calls, texts and data usage.

My Apologies, just checked in another thread...T Mobile offers full monty plan on SIM only deals but there is one problem, data traiff excludes tethering...

I spoke to Sales and said I wouldn't be interested if it didn't have tethering. She spoke to the manager and he added tethering for me.

Was it tethering with a limit? Or was it truly unlimited tethering because that would give the Full Monty more value @ £26pm

Unlimited along with the normal internet. All he did was apply a specific carrier setting for my iPhone I think (To allow tethering to work) and add a note on my account.

Sounds good, i'll keep that in mind in case i go with T-Mobile in the future (unless they've added tethering by then)

reclusive46 you managed to get the SIM in the end then? Are your speeds uncapped or capped at 3.8mbps?

Yeah managed to get the sim in the end. Credit check was declined due to an error. The CRA link was not working properly.

I did a test and I got 3.92 on speed test but I don't have an amazing signal here. That is about the same as I got on Three.

Tbh the problem I had with Three and the reason I moved was at Work and at Home I had no signal at all. (1 bar in my bedroom). Indoor coverage is atrocious in the suburbs almost everywhere I go. 2100 band sucks.

Atleast with T-Mobile I have the 2G backup to fall on.

Rurally its even more annoying. I end up roaming onto Orange 2G on Three and all data is blocked, so my drains all its battery trying to get data out.

I 100% agree with you there, I have no 3G in my house so Three is annoying but Orange has 2G for home and then 3G for everyhwere else

Which APN were you using - three.co.uk or 3internet? I ask because data works perfectly well when roaming on Orange 2G using the three.co.uk APN.

I'm on T-Mobile PAYG. I pay £20 for 6 months worth of unlimited data usage.
