Thief aka Violent Streets http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083190/combined Early Michael Mann movie with James Caan as a safecracker who gets involved with the Mob. Caan is brilliant and so is Robert Prosky as the almost cuddly, grandfatherly mob boss who shows his true self in a really chilling scene
