I'm so fed up of people turning the comment section of what seems like every single music video on Youtube into a slanging match over X vs Lady Gaga. What's it all about? No other fanbase seems to do this, but the "little monsters" and Gaga bashers seem determined to have the same fights with each other again and again on every corner of the internet they can infiltrate. It's downright bizarre.

What's wrong with these people!

I agree but it's the same with Justin Beiber. People can't seem to like/dislike an artist without comparing them to someone else; either positively or negatively.

True.

The "better than Justin Bieber" comments on every bad video Bieber bashers can find is a joke that's worn thin now.

Justin Beibers the one mentioned on just about every comment section on any well liked song to me it seems. I don't really care for him but its very tiring reading the "this artist or song is much better than Beiber" comments everytime you read what people have said.

I very much agree, and it's pretty much on every video of somebody who has been somewhat creative. So unless you're standing at a microphone, you'll get the "lady gaga" comparison.

I've been on videos like OMG (Sabrina Washington) and Game Over (VV Brown) and seen comments that they're trying to be the 'black Lady Gaga' it's quite frustrating. It's as if some artists are being stripped off their work because it's as though Lady Gaga has done it all first.

i tend not to read the comments any longer, its ridiculous and youtube really is a poorer place these days because of it. when the site first started, it really was a great resource and the comments were generally positive. most people used the site to locate footage and they were pleased to find various clips. in a nutshell, they were on that particular page because it was of interest to them.

now it seems to attract a lot of people that go searching for things they don't like so they can make negative comments about it. some of the comments written are truly disturbing and that is why i tend to no longer read. youtube really should have better regulations in place and maybe comments should be moderated. the introduction of likes/dislikes in a way encourage the ongoing issue, some videos have a huge proportion of dislikes and it does make you wonder why so people are viewing the video in the first place.

This is what happens when 13-year olds have access to unmoderated areas of the internet.

It is so annoying having to read through all the negative comments some Lady Gaga leave. Nicki Minaj seems to be their new target.

As others have said, Justin Bieber is usually the main target, as well as Rebecca Black (still!). I've noticed on quite a lot of Madonna videos, there's lots of Madonna fans bashing Gaga and moaning about Little Monsters when hardly any (that i can tell) have commented

Are you joking? I'm actually sick of all the granny and ageism comments that some Gaga fans post under the Madonna videos. Its always the same lot too with user names like ''GagaQueen'' or 'Monster Mamma''.

They seem to forget that Gaga might be 53 one day herself.

You should go and took a look because you cannot miss any of it. They spam her videos every single day. Madonna is possibly the biggest target of trolls. Even when Madonna did her Q&A on Twitter Gaga fans were tweeting stuff like ''isn't it time you went into the nursing home!'' its all so pathetic. Those small few give the rest a bad name.

Infact I've just been looking at one of Madonna's videos and a user with the name GagaMonsterCarly has claimed Madonna eats ''dot s**t''. Very nice

i agree. Youtube comments are a bore. If it's not the Gaga comparison it's some comment on the number of dislikes or someone asking for a thumbs up, or just plain abuse. Waste of time reading shit from idiots who should just get orf the internet

Not sure about death metal but there are some metal remixes and covers of her songs so by default she gets a mention there

When someone's seen as 'the standard' whether she is or isn't, in your opinion, then that's what people get judged against. Like it or not, that's what's happening. It's also because she crosses over to so many genres and there are so many remixes of her songs in other styles.

Sometimes on rock videos I see comments like "This is REAL music, not like that trashy Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber crap that everybody listens to". So she even gets mentioned there.

Lady Gaga is really, really overexposed. And the sad thing is, it's not even entirely her fault, just her idiotic fans. Rihanna is able to constantly have 4 songs in the charts and not be overexposed because her fans don't mention here at every opportunity possible, but Lady Gaga could just be lieing in her bed for weeks and she'd still seem overexposed because of her annoying fans.

She isn't seen as the standard. Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Madonna, Fergie, Christina Aguilera, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, etc. were all famous before her, so why on Earth would Lady Gaga be seen as "the standard"? Maybe her fans see her as that, but nobody else does. It's like if people suddenly started saying Lady Gaga copies Carly Rae Jepsen. It's ridiculous.

Isn't that pretty much what Gaga has done since February?

Her media silence really hasn't worked out. All she has to do is tweet about tour rehearsals or have her birthday or drive a car and the press are all over it.
