What things have you just found out that would be seemingly obvious to everyone else?

My boyfriend was astounded that I had no idea where Adrians Wall was, and I would say I am good at Geography lol

I've noticed a lot of idiots on Facebook now realising that Titanic wasn't just a movie.

I have no idea where Adrian's Wall is either.

Hadrian's Wall however, now that's another matter.

That trains travel faster than cars.

I was taking a journey the other day and turned to my mum and said which would be the quickest way to get there, by train or car? In a deadpan voice with a look of confusion on her voice she told me trains because they travel quicker.

Cue me being highly embarrased whilst laughing my head off. Obviously I knew the answer to the question really but for some reason decided to have a brain meltdown.

There's an antique poster that's been in my mum's kitchen since I was a baby.

It's laid out like this:

Re -

*Picture of a Lion*

on Oxo for Winter Health

I didn't get it EVER til a friend visited and promptly told me I was an idiot. In my defence, the hyphen is square.

I'm quite sad I know, I didn't want to. It was just a silly poster with a lion on it before, and now it makes sense.

You look a bit underweight in your profile picture.

I only realized last week for the first time that Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who.

It wasn't until recently that I realised that pipe-cleaners were actual pipe cleaners

As a child I was given fury wire and told to make (for example) animals and told they were called pipe-cleaners, as a kid I didn't question it and took it as gospel. It's quite embarrassing that it took me 25 years to make the connection

I used to love reading Winnie the Pooh - but I was about 30 before I realised that Eeyore's name was the sound a donkey made.

You just can't buy that kind of smart

I only realised the other day that the Highlands are named because there are lots of mountains and not because they are really far north.....

Not recently, but a few years ago I realised the sugar lump we got as a teenager after getting the BCG injection actually contained the polio part of it. I always just thought it was like getting a lollipop after being at the doctors and I spat mine out as soon as I got out of the room.

Mr DW realised last night that one of his favorite "golden oldie" songs - Lola by the Kinks, was about a transvestite...
