I keep getting confused between Portsmouth and Southampton

For years I'd assumed that David Kelly, the Irish actor from Robins Nest and Fawlty Towers who died quite recently, actually did only have one arm.

I'd seen him in Fawlty Towers with two, then in Robins Nest with just the one, so I always thought that he'd lost one in real life between filming the two shows. I think the only other thing I really saw him in was the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film when I'd actually thought "that's a very realistic false arm he's got there".

That does rather depend on whether you are talking about a train station to train station journey - or door to door one.

Why is he called Morph?

The Titanic being real seems to be a popular one at the moment, can't get away from it where I am!

People have no right to tell others how they should feel about things.

Well, I knew it anyway, but it's hit me like a brick in the last 24 hours.

That the constant itching in my right eye all day yesterday wasn't hayfever or the start of an eye infection, but a miniscule crack in my contact lens.

That 'Google' is derived from googol meaning 10 to the power 100.

It all makes sense to me now.

It's supposed to be the same with everything innit?

Including the 7 billion people on the planet - it's the same weight as when Adam and Eve were scrumping for apples.

Summat like that.

South Africa is a country, not just the southern part of Africa

As a kid I thought Washington DC was in Washington state.

I remember reading the word 'natch' in magazines a lot when I was a teenager but had no idea what it meant, and only found out recently that it's short for 'naturally'.

I am really ashamed to say that I refrained from buying lots of French sticks (baguettes) when they are all reduced to 10p, because they are too long for the freezer....

I did the exact same thing!! After about a week of moving them around to where I thought there was more sun and cursing them I noticed the 'on' switch I was actually moving them throughout the day to follow the sun in my garden!!!

My boyfriend still teases me about the fact i'd always called him Mort! He even bought me a card with Morph sitting on the toilet for valentines day

One thing i do remember from when i was a kid that still makes me embarrassed, was when i asked my mum how do our clothes grow bigger as we, the wearer, grow bigger. The look on her face was priceless, it was clear she was wondering what kind of moron she had given birth to.

That Blindcraft is a shop that sells things made by blind people, and not a shop that sells blinds. The assistant nearly wet herself laughing...
