That Gilbert O'Sullivan and Gilbert and Sullivan are two different things. Neither are of any interest to me but I only found out when I worked a record shop!

So can you? I could do with these!

On a similar note, when I was a kid in the 1980s, papers used to print a "lighting up time" of around 5 or 6pm and I thought you weren't allowed to smoke a cigarette until then. It wasn't till much later that I found out that it's time time you should put your car headlights on!

I honestly didn't understand why the referendum was called Brexit ( yes I understood what we were voting for ! but I didn't understand why it was called Brexit , which sounds like some sort of European cereal .)

I always wondered why when you hire a safe in a hotel they gave you the actual lock mechanism with the key to fit yourself.

Then it hit me.Its to stop someone hiring it,getting the key cut and returning in a couple of weeks to simply open it and clear it out!

I suppose the new electronic pin code ones solve that problem anyway.

I've been using the same brand of stick deodorant for a long time and it always annoys me that the plastic protective inner cap is so difficult to remove. I've used pliers and even my teeth to get hold of the damn thing. Today I realised that if I just twist the bottom to get the stick to move up, it will push the cap out

You're not alone, President Nixon's aides would find teeth marks on the tops of his aspirin bottles, Dickie hadn't quite mastered the art of opening the child -proof caps.

Ore Oduba of Strictly is married to the daughter of the lead singer of one of my favourite bands - Anti-Nowhere League.
Not really obvious, obviously but surprised I didn't know - when all the women at work that watch Strictly know but had never heard of ANL - and all the punks in 'Spoons know despite none of them watch Strictly.

Not totally obvious but there's a definite similarity.

Theon Greyjoy is Lily Allen's brother.
