Faint black line on Sony Bravia KDL40CX523
Jersey1

I have had my Sony Bravia KDL40CX523 just over 4 months. This is a CCFL / LCD display television. The TV was fine, when I first got it and I was pleased with the purchase. However, recently, a faint black vertical line has developed down the middle of the screen. It is noticeable when watching football, especially when the screen pans quickly. I now fear that more lines will develop. Has anyone have similar problems with this model of Sony TV? Furthermore, I would also say that the overall picture quality of TV has deteriorated. Blacks etc can appear fuzzy. Thankfully, the TV is still within the warranty period. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause? I would like to have a general idea of what the problem is, before I contact the store where I purchased the TV. Any help will be most appreciated!

Agreed - and almost all faults on LCD/Plasma are the display panels.
