Good day, I wonder if someone out there with a little more than average patience, could kindly, take the time to explain to me what I have to do to resume sending or replying to emails via my Tiscali.co.uk address from my Nokia N8 mobile phone.
I have had a free Tiscali (now owned by TalkTalk) email address for many, many years, it is my main address, and for the first time ever, this week, I cannot either reply to emails or send new ones from my phone.
Anything I send just sits in the outbox and will not budge until I decide to delete it.
I experience no difficulty sending or receiving from any computer. And, I have three other non-Tiscali addresses that work without fault from the same mobile phone.
I went into my local ISP, T-Mobile, who could not have been more helpful. After a very long, three way conversation between the assistant, the call centre technician and myself the conclusion was that there were 'issues' with Tiscali settings.
I tried to contact TalkTalk (Tiscali) by phone but because I do not have a TalkTalk landline number or account number to input I could not get anyone to pick up (very expensive call!!).
I opted for the email helpline and as predicted could not get a straightforward reply from them either because I have no reference number to give them (for data protection purposes).
Before, I go nuts, could someone please tell me what to do next. Or even better, could you tell me what the settings should be.
Forgive my long-windedness, but, I feel the more info I give you the less questions you may need to ask me.
I think you have spotted that I am 'no techie' so please do explain simply in your reply.
I am so very grateful to anyone who can help me.
