Im about to order BT broadband and im tempted to order vision with it. I dont have a tv aerial and have no real interest in freeview channels in order to get one. My question is, will the box work fine for ondemand without an aerial or does it effectively shut down it it detects no tv signal?

Basically i want to use it for streaming only.

Yes the BT Vision box will work without an aerial to access on demand content

Yes it will work - if ordering "do not" mention that you do not have an aerial - if asked just make sure you say you can get all the channels etc.

In the past there have been times that people have been told they can't order it due to poor freeview coverage.

I've ordered it today but decided to get in the loft and install and aerial as well so i can fully dump sky and have everything through BT.
