However, if we were basing it on the tasks
only, Laura didn't deserve to be fired.
She did everything that was asked of her, and even argued with Duane over the direction of the video shoot, but was shot down.
Duane knew she had done everything asked of her and was decent enough to acknowledge this in the boardroom, and said she shouldn't be in there.
I'm not quite sure why you've singled Laura out, OP. If anyone was getting a "free ride", it certainly isn't her. Jenna, Nick and Gabrielle were very quiet on this task. Nick tried to give his opinion on the video shoot, like Laura, but was shot down, but apart from that, I'm not entirely sure what else he did. Gabrielle was pretty much edited out the episode and Jenna seems to have come up with the moves -
alongside Laura.
So just why have you singled Laura out? Genuinely curious, because your opinion of "I though she did nothing to contribute to the video in any way whatsoever" could be said about everyone else.
